   Summary

   Set in the mid 1920’s New York City, Mafioso Dante Santoro, heir to the largest Italian mafia on the east coast finds himself engaged to Maeve O’Dell, the heiress to the largest Irish mob. He hates everything she represents and plans to break her but the tables turn on him on their honeymoon night. Maeve, not willing to be a damsel in distress finds a way to keep this rabid dog on a leash, quite literally. As their marriage continues he finds himself unable to live without her while she finds herself despising him more every day.
