Summary
Widowed before her child's first birthday, Y/n lives in a constant state of grief and longing. Lost in the rubble of a previous alien tragedy, her dead husband haunts her in her daily life, and she's not sure if there's a way out. Lily, her now 3-year-old, has constantly proved to be a ray of sunshine during difficult times of working, caring for her, and juggling what life has thrown at them, and Y/n loves her with all her heart.
In another tragedy scare, Y/n thinks she's lost her daughter, just like she lost her husband years prior. Her heart crumbles and during her futile attempts to "save" her daughter, a blur of green delivers Lily to her.
Bruce Banner has never been fond of loving, especially after the accident that cursed him with the Other Guy. Fear leads his life, and he's sworn time and time again that love isn't something he's willing to risk.
Bruce meets Y/n and Lily months later, when Y/n stops by the Avengers tower in attempts to thank the green hero for saving everything. Y/n begins coming around more often, they get closer, and maybe they're both willing to find love somewhere within each other.
