His breath ragged. Lungs quickly inflate and deflate as he breath too fast. He's hiding. Hand covering his left arm. Deep wound spewing red blood non stop as if it is the moment they're waiting for.
Rustle
The bush makes noises. Not knowing if it's the wind or the creature, he quickly cease his heavy breathing, tears running down his cheeks. Biting his own lips as he pray that the creature won't find him.
"Come out, now. If not, it be worst"
The predator say loudly. Not shouting, just loud enough for him to hear. Which means, the predator is near.
Too near.
Heart beat faster than ever. He's scared. He should never step inside this forest. He should never try acting brave. He doesn't want to die.
"I know where you are darling. Come out on your own and i will not harm you. You have my word."
He didn't trust the voice, he knew the predator is lying. But, what if the voice didn't lie? What if, when he show himself, the person chasing him stay true to their word?
Is the person even a human?
Trusting his instinct, he stay hidden.
"Are you not going to come out?"
He shake his head quietly even though the individual couldn't see him.
As if seeing him, the predator hummed.
"Very well then, i'll give you 2 minutes to run."
He doesn't know what to do. He wants to disappear.
He knew the creature chasing him was dragging out the game, savouring every second of his panic. The bleeding from the deep wound is making him dizzy. He couldn't move.
"Aren't you going to move my dear?"
He wants to leave.
He wants to live.
His vision became blurry. He doesn't know if it's from the blood loss or the tears. His hand no longer able to cover the injuries as he has no energy left.
A face slowly crept into his vision. Sharp teeth smiling menacingly at him.
"Found you."
A chilling laugh was all he heard before his world went dark.
