As the fun gang stood at the end of everything the world in front of them all seemed to unravel before their very eyes.
“Kris I know…. That's why I didn’t want to tell you ....”
As they all looked up at the prophecy before them, there it was, clear to see
“To save the world there is only one way. Kris and Ralsei must do something gay.”
Kris stared at the prophecy a bit longer and locked eyes with Ralsei.
“Kris just… I'm sorry we don’t have to if you aren’t okay with it the world may end but to be honest?”
“I’d rather let it all end then see you do something you’ll hate”
“IS THAT REALLY IT??? YOU TWO ARE GONNA LET THE WORLD END OVER THAT???”
Suzie screamed and angrily grabbed Ralsei’s hand pulling him and Kris close.
“I AM NOT LETTING YOU TWO IDIOTS END THE WORLD OVER THAT. SO GO AHEAD AND KISS OR HUG OR ILL MAKE YOU”
“I thought back at the sanctuary that it was a joke… But really?? THAT’S WHAT YOU ARE SCARED OF??”
“I am not letting the damn world end over you two not getting together…”
“Especially after all we’ve been through… Kris,think about Toriel and all our friends at castle town… Lancer Tenna… Hell even Queen…”
“SO GET TO IT ALREADY”
Suzie screamed pointing at both of them demanding things play out the way they were destined to….. I mean it could be so much worse afterall right???
Kris slowly took Ralsei’s hands and held them close, the first thing they did was pull Ralsei into a close hug holding him as tight as they could.
If this was what was meant to happen the least thing they could do is have it play out their way.
“Ralsei…. I didn’t really like you at first…. but… If this really will stop the world from ending…. I’ll tell you anyway…”
Ralsei held onto Kris as tight as he could
“Is this really happening??? Kris is just doing this to save everyone right?? It's fine if its what Kris wants its okay…. just… hold your real feelings back okay. Don’t fall into something that isn’t real”
But as soon as Kris pulled away and put their hand to his cheek…..
He felt these “rules” he set for himself to not get attached break away…. If it's meant to be… if only for a moment I’ll let it happen.
Kris leaned in and gave Ralsei a gentle kiss on the cheek. And as they pulled away they could swear Ralsei exploded.
As they did that the worlds seemed to come to a pause and pull back together at once…
Ralsei got ready to pull away but as he did…
His hand was still held…
Kris hadn’t let go….
“Kris you can let go now… We fulfilled the prophecy.... you don’t have to do anything you don’t have to anymore.”
Ralsei locked eyes with Kris but they still wouldn’t let go.
“Ralsei I’m not done, I still have more to say.”
Suzie was now completely locked in for this. She had always thought Kris and Ralsei’s chemistry was perfect but this? “Oh it's finally teasing time soon”. She thought to herself.
“Oh! Well if you have something else to say thats okay Kris you can tell me anything”
Ralsei said with a smile. He pulled closer to Kris…This time barely inches away from them he held onto their hands and got ready to cherish every word they said.
“Ralsei… I was gonna ask to kiss you a second ago… But if I did…You might think it's because I have to…. But I’m doing this because I want to…. More than anything and I think…. you do too. If I'm correct right??”
Ralsei felt his blush fill his face entirely. He tried to pull away and hide his blush behind his ears but Kris was persistent and never let go of his hand.
After a second of pure joy he couldn’t seem to portray through his body alone.
He started to cry a little bit… Then a lot…
He had always thought that Kris might try and kiss them here…For the prophecy to be fulfilled and serve the purpose he was made for…
But to have Kris want this… Kris made sure it was something he wanted too…. He pulled them into a hug and held them so close…
Tears fell onto Kris’ armor as Ralsei held onto them as hard as he could….
“Kris wants to kiss me! Kris wants to kiss me!” He couldn’t stop repeating in his head with joy so much he completely forgot to respond verbally."
As Ralsei cried his heart out Kris held him close and ran their fingers through his fur…
He was so soft… All the nights they stayed awake thinking of him… Thinking of how things would play out with him.. It was really happening.. and most of all Ralsei seemed to want this too.
Ralsei finally pulled back a bit. Still holding onto Kris’ hands he began to say what his heart could only have dreamt of to speak aloud.
“Kris… I would love nothing more than to kiss you.. I’ve loved you for so long and nothing makes me so more happy than to know that you feel the same…. Sorry…”
He began to cry some more and as he did he saw that Kris too had started to cry a little bit too. His feelings really were returned weren’t they?
“I love you Kris…. I think… no I know I always have.”
Ralsei moved closer and closer until he was nothing more than a breath away from them.
Still too nervous to move even though his feelings were returned he didn’t want to mess this up. No matter what it had to be something Kris wanted too.
Kris closed the remaining gap between the two of them and kissed him….
He tasted even better than they had imagined…
They tasted even better than he imagined….
It felt like hours when in reality it had only been a few seconds until they both pulled away from each other.
Still full of love for one another they stared into their lover’s eyes just happy and content in the moment.
“HELL YES I KNEW YOU TWO DORKS LIKED EACH OTHER I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT!!!”
Suzie practically screamed as Ralsei felt a blush fill his face once again. He had just kissed his crush and confessed his long repressed feelings.
But Kris? Simply held Ralsei’s hand tighter and squeezed his hand as a little affirmation of love.
Ralsei felt his body go limp from joy once again.
Kris on the other hand was just happy to see Ralsei and Suzie so happy. But especially Ralsei.
“Well Kris, are you gonna introduce me to your boyfriend or what?”
Suzie nudged Kris letting out a hearty laugh.
She couldn’t help it. This was like the best day ever to her. Saving the world and getting to tease her friends.
Kris simply smudged and stepped forward with Ralsei still holding their hand.
“Suzie, this is my boyfriend Ralsei. I love him a lot and hope you will too.”
BOYFRIEND… BOYFRIEND?? BOYFRIEND???
Ralsei fell over from joy. If you would’ve told him a few days ago he would date Kris, get to kiss them and be their boyfriend? He would have called them a liar and not to read his diary.
Ralsei now on the floor hid under his ear floofs and struggled to get up his entire body wobbly from being called “Kris' boyfriend”
“Kris… I know you like me but we don’t have to label things so fast… Unless you want to… I just… sorry I’m still stuck worrying this is something you are only “okay” with”
Kris simply laid on the floor next to Ralsei and
pulled his ear floofs away from blocking his face.
In response they kissed him once again. This time much deeper and way more passionate.
If their last kiss was somehow platonic. Or hell even semi platonic. This one sealed the deal. As a declaration of pure unbridled love and devotion to him.
“Ralsei you are my boyfriend now and you are just gonna have to live with that.”
Ralsei simply looked at Kris one last time and rubbed his eyes before more tears began to start.
“Now that might be something I can learn to live with”
For once Ralsei pulled Kris close and kissed them as tight as he could. With his fingers wrapped all in their hair.
As they pulled away they spoke their truth one last time.
“I love you”
They both said in Unison
