Work Text:
Gil walks down the street to his boyfriends house, crying but determined. Determined to have his forgiveness.
Two days prior, an old friend of Gils, Urchin (who also happens to be Spikes cousin), revealed a secret. He had exposed this out of jealousy, because Gil had been dating Spike and not him. It was revealed that Gil was also on a team named 'Team Misogyny', whose members would hate on women with each other. Gil was kicked out after being discovered to be on a team with other women. Spike was NOT happy to hear that, ghosting Gil for the next two days.
Gil wasn't going to let that happen, he wasn't going to allow his boyfriend to ghost him and potentially leave him. So, he walks down the street, boombox on his shoulder, shirtless and crying but mustering up all the confidence he could in his steps, his big, teal pompadour bouncing with his movements.
Meanwhile, Spike has been getting ready for bed, putting on his favourite pyjamas and making his bed, lying the blankets in a very specific order. The second he lies down, music blasts from outside his house. Obviously startled and wondering where that music is coming from, he gets up and runs to look out his window.
Gil is horribly singing at Spike, voice cracking. "'Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling! And every time we kiss, I swear I can fly!"
Spike gasps and his face lights up, feeling flattered and already wanting to forgive him. He speaks up and shouts "I love you Gilly!! Oh my god!" That immediately lifting the weight off his shoulders and filling him with more hope. The way Spike smiles down at him tells him everything.
He continues to sing with his voice cracking, wanting to show Spike he is truly sorry and isn't a horrible guy anymore.
The front door swings open, Spikes stepdad clearly angry, and his father visibly annoyed behind him. "What is all that goddamn noise?!" Rider screams. Gil continues anyway, trying to somehow look nonchalant while doing the most stupid thing one could think of.
The song ends and before Rider can do anything, Spike comes running out the door towards Gil, arms open. He drops the boombox and hugs him close, holding him tightly.
"Oh Gilly... I'm so sorry for ghosting you..."
Gil picks him up, struggling to hold him as he looks into his gorgeous purple eyes. "I love you Spikey." He says before Spike pulls him into a deep kiss, making his knees weak.
Spikes father appears behind them. "Don't EVER pull a stunt like that again!" He shouts at Gil. "Yes sir." He replies while the doctor walks back into the house with Rider.
Gil looks up at Spike once again, love evident in their eyes. "You're the best I've ever had..."
