Furina had enough, this was the tenth time someone had egged her house, she had tried to report the vandalism to the guards but she was just brushed off, she tried to ask them to stop but it only made things worse, she knew this violated the laws, I mean she made the laws so of course she knew them, and yet no one was getting justice for such behavior, it has gotten so bad that she couldn't even go outside to get groceries! Furina only had two options left, stay and endure this until it dies down..... Or leave Fontaine forever.
Furina thought this hard and long at first she didn't want to leave her friends or her people behind, after all she had sacrificed basically her whole life on them, and well she didn't want to leave a few people behind such as Neuvillette or Clorinde and she'll definitely miss Escoffier's cooking but then she remembered that maybe after what happened they may not want to see her again, after she was revealed as a fraud, a fake, a human, they may not want to even see her face! Maybe Neuvillette would banish her himself from Fontaine for deciving the people, and Clorinde perhaps would raise her sword against her, she wouldn't hesitate to attack her, and Escoffier she didn't even wanna imagine what she would do, maybe she'll ban her from ever eating in her restaurants or maybe she'll burn her food each time she went out to eat.
after overthinking for a while she made her decision, furina de Fontaine would leave Fontaine, she didn't know what to pack, after all she didn't want to be recognized and be harassed again in another nation, in the end she ended up packing some essentials, a few pairs a the most normal looking clothes she owned and a bag of the remaining mora she had, it wasn't much but it would get her to where she needed, she also packed a few pieces of jewelry she owned in case her mora wasn't enough.
Once night fell furina left her house in normal clothes, her hair was hidden in a hat in case anyone recognized her, the streets were empty and quiet, there was no one to yell or see her, she quickly walked down the streets and went to Lumidouce Harbor, the boat would leave her in Yilang Warf and then she would make the walk to Mondstat by herself, I mean how far could Mondstat really be from the harbor?
Furina immediately found out how long the journey was from Yilang Warf to Mondstat, a two day trip on foot to reach the nation, it would take her one day to reach Liyue Harbor, and the rest to reach Mondstat, by the time she reached Yilong Warf it was in the early morning, despite being sacred of the dark she was more scared that someone from Fontaine had noticed her coming and well she couldn't stay in one place for that long
After finding some food she continued her adventure to Liyue harbor, terrified that some monster would come and attack her she had her companions keep her guarded, the trip was hectic, she had to climb a few mountains and also run away from hilichurls who had spotted her, there were also a few things that fascinated her as well, such as the fact that Liyue seemed to have huge mountains and long rivers, and also the fact that there was more treasures hunters roaming around, furina made sure to stay away from their sights.
After walking for a while the sun was beginning to set, and during her walk she had met a mysterious light blue haired women, she wore semi revealing clothes but the weather here was hot so she didn't think about it that much, anyway she had been informed that Liyue Harbor was actually more farther away from Mondstat and that the best place to go was Wangshu Inn, and assuming by the name she probably could rest there for the night, furina was extremely thankful to the tall women who she later learned her name was shenhe, well furina wouldn't forget her.
By the time she had reached the Inn it was night, she was exhausted, sweaty, and hungry, and to her surprise the Inn was also some sort of restaurant, she was delighted, she got a room and then immediately went to buy herself some food, during her time as archon she had tried many dishes from different nations due to her also getting meetings from foreign people, despite the abundance of different spices she felt in her mouth the food was really good.
After eating to her hearts contents she went back to her room to freshen up a bit before going to bed, the day had come to an end and she was ready to fall asleep, she was in her night gown and in bed, the weather was perfect, the soft wind blew into her room and the stars shines brightly, in Fontaine she barely had time to see the stars, there was always something in her way, and if she had time there was always a cloud beginning to form which was an indicator that it would rain soon, so for her to enjoy the stars like was a privilege she intended to take advantage of
After it's not always that you fall asleep looking at the sky instead at a ceiling and in a room where everything felt like a cage you couldn't escape, a stage where acting was the way to survive, an audience who didn't need to be pleased with a false face, for the first time in a while furina felt calm, relaxed and pleased that she was human, after all that's what made her perfect.
