Work Text:
You were always quiet, ever since from the start you weren't very talkative. However although you lacked the words, your actions spoke very loudly for you.
...
Striking his skin with a needle, he yelps from the pain before giving you a worried look. The needles sharp end now soaked from blood, looking down at it you felt doubt at the back of your head.
Harvey inspects your face, your eyes staring at the needle intently with doubt, letting him feel slightly relieved as he hoped you wouldn't continue. Then your eyes meet for just a moment, before you tossed the needle aside.
You sighed, you can't do it. Although you have quickly realized hurting him further would result in more money, your heart simply won over your mind and greed.
From the other side, Harvey smiled back at you, "I mean... you can still go on with the feather."
Hesitantly returning a soft smile, you agree. But before doing so, you suddenly held out a bandaid. Leaning closer, you held his chin up closer to you, the small prick on his face still bleeding. "Oh you don't really need to-" he tries interjecting, it's not really that big of a wound...
Continuing to do so though, you gently press the bandaid on his face to apply it. The silence once more returned for a moment, a refreshing breeze passes by the scenery before you let go of his face.
Raising his hand to hold the bandaid, you both once more share a heartfelt smile before you continued. By the end, you took just enough to pay off your operation.
Bidding him goodbye, you hugged him. He hugs back, bidding you goodbye as well, “Glad I could help out! I do hope your life changes for the best and you always have a smile on your face!”
Thanking him, you wish him well back before getting into your van and leaving the peaceful scenery. Driving into the horizon, you think you might go back for a chat.
