Luna really did put off a good fight, she was even proud of herself, it wasn't often she got to fight that many slimy monsters by herself, and she managed pretty well. When her teamates needed her, she came back to them as quickly as she could too. Giving them the biggest support she could, healing them while fighting too.
Yes, she could say she was proud of herself. She truly showed she wasn't just an idol today, even impressing the cold Winter Soldier. (She's still shocked he didn't have any ice power with such name...)
And then she saw that Lin Lie was about to get hit hard with a powerful attack. She didn't think twice to save her teamate, she froze the monster just enough time to push Lin Lie away and then ...
Well everything went to black. Then when she came back to herself, she was in a hospital bed with loud bipping machine next to her.
At first, she was confused. Then ashamed at herself at being the only hero hurt that day. And then came the sadness, of being alone in a unfamiliar place.
She quickly asked the doctor what happend, how did she ended up here... Also if any of her friends got hurt too. She spoke maybe too quickly, but she was scared. And so lost.
But the doctor was a patient woman, she spoke softly, slowly to reassure Seol. Wich, did work.
Seol got hit so hard by the monster, making her fly to the wall harshly. She hit her head hard, so hard she lost consciousness, then she lost blood, enough blood to worry her team. And then she ended up here, after her team forced Ultron to carry her in the hospital. (She had no idea how they could've forced this genocidal robot to do anything to save anyone...)
And then, Luna feel a sigh of relief escaping her lips when learn that all of her teamates are alright. She glance at the doctor, a bit shy to ask her next question. But she needed to know...
"Did anyone..visit me ?" She try softly
The doctor offer her a kind smile "Yes, one of your friend waited all day for you."
Luna felt a jolt of joy and hope at her words. Did it means Illyana was already here ? And that she waited all day just to see her..? She could feel butterlies in her stomach, and could almost feel her ears slowly going hot.
"I'll let them in." The doctor says as she leave.
Luna nod a bit quickly, too happy to hide it.
But when the door open, it's not Illyana she see.
It's Lin Lie.
She didn't even try to hide the fact she lost her bright smile the moment he open the door. It's not even voluntary, she was just so excited to see her best friend...
"Don't hide your joy." Lin Lie scoff in a false offense. "I just came here to check on my savior."
Seol sigh as she pat the chair next to her bed, clear invitation for him. "Then come tell your savior what she missed after the fight."
He smile as he sit beside her "Where do i start..?"

Once Lin Lie finish to tell everything Seol missed, they eat some pastries he came with. It was nice to enjoy the presence of her friend, but she still wanted to see Illyana. It's been so long since they last saw each other...
"You want to ask me about Magik, don't you ?" He sigh "You've been sending glances at me without speaking, i know why."
Seol finish her last strawberry and nod. "Were is she ? Does she know i'm here ?" She pause "Will she come soon ?"
Lin Lie let out a small scoff, amused. "She's on a mission with Emma Frost and the Land Shark." He pause "Jeff if i remember correctly." He glance at her. "She knows you're here, i called her. And she said something like 'I will finish the mission fast. Don't steal my place Iron Fist or there will be consequences.' Maybe she was less polite.."
He smile to Luna , ready to tease her "You know your girlfriend can be scary when she want to ?"
Seol softly hit his arm "She's not my girlfriend."
"Yet." He add
"Yet." She confirm.
Lin Lie sigh as he push his hair back, ruffling it. "When are you going to confess ? It's been months..."
Seol glare at him "Let me take my time...-"
He scoff and stop her from adding more "Didn't you told me you and her kissed while drunk twice ?"
Seil pause and blush. "Three time actually..-" She push his arm away "But it doesn't mean she love me back ! She once kissed the forehead of Rocket !"
Lin Lie doesn't even asnwer. He just let out a long sigh. "And Illyana kissed you were ?" He remind her with judgment in his eyes.
"The lips. But-"
"No but." He stop her "You love her. She love you as much. It shows. So stop flirting and start acting."
She smile, teasingly. "So, when are you going to apply your advice on yourself ?"
Lin Lie stop her yet again "Hey, i didn't kiss my crush/best friend thrice."
"Fair."

When Luna woke up at night, she was surprised to feel a presence next to her bed. She froze at first, unable to move or breath for a few seconds. Then she recognized her scent.
Magik. Illyana. Her best friend. The woman she love was there.
Seol almost jump off her bed, but wince in pain before she could do it. She had to feel her, to touch her. Quick.
But the blond stop her before she could do anything else, gently pushing her back against the bed. "As much as i want to hug you, stay on the bed." Illyana order her with a firm tone.
Seol can't help but smile at the sound of her voice. "Illyana... You're back." She quickly take her hand in hers, and already feel way better. "I waited for you."
"I know." Illyana whisper as she slowly drag her free hand against Seol's forehead. "I came as quickly as i could." She whisper as she slowly leans closer to hug her best friend. "You were reckless." Her voice carried emotions she didn't dare to whisper before.
"I know." Seol whisper back as she dare to glance at Illyana's eyes.
"I could've lost you." Illyana finally push herself closer, hugging, embracing her fully. She doesn't dare to squeeze her arms around her, she's scared she might hurt her even more.
Seol gently kiss Illyana's forehead. "I know." She repeat, knowing she couldn't do anything else. "But i'm here. And i'm okay."
Illyana slowly undo herself from the embrace "Are you really ? Because you look like you just came back from your first trip in Limbo." Her words come out more harshly than she wanted, but she can't help but feel so angry at her.
Seol slowly bring Illyana back into her arms, not wanting her to pull away. "Stay here. Against me." She whisper against her blond locks "Please. You can beat my ass anytime you want to. Once i'm healed, of course." She try to joke, but Illyana doesn't smile back at her. She's still mad. And worried, she know it.
Feeling like Illyana won't answer her, Seol sigh softly against the blond's hair. She snuggle against her, trying to feel her warmth. "I was scared too. That i wouldn't be able to see you again." She pause "I feel cold when you're away, wich is ironic with my powers, i know." She smile, unabale to meet her friend's gaze on her. "But everytime you're away, i know you'll come back because i trust your skills."
Illyana open her mouth to answer, but Seol stop her before she could, pressing her index against her lips. She blush a bit at her own move, feeling her friend's warm lips against her finger feel nicer than she thought.
"I want you to believe in me as much as i believe in you." She whisper, leaning closer, restong their forhead together. "I got hurt this time i know. But i swear, as long as you're alive Illyana, i'll never give up any fight."
Luna finally glance at Illyana's blue eyes, she felt unable to tear away her gaze from the blond.
"You swear it you say ?" She could almost melt when she saw Illyana finally smiling. "Okay, i trust you snowflake."
Soel let out a small sigh in relief before frowning. "Snowflake ? Are we using pet name now ? What should i call you then ?" She scoff, already dislike the cliché pet name.
Illyana smirk as she leans closer, until her hand rest on Seol's waist. She shudder, not even bothering to hide it. "How about Queen ?" She smirk against her friend.
"Queen ? A bit on the nose isn't it ?" Seol whisper
"Maybe." Illyana admit "But as the Queen of Limbo-"
Luna stop her with a short and quick kiss on the cheek, too shy to kiss her anywere else. (Yet.)
"I know what you are. You're Magik, the Queen of Limbo. An X-men." Seol whisper as she kisses her cheek again "But to me, you're Illyana."
"Just Illyana ?" The blond whisper, her cheeks taking a deep shade of red.
Seol smile against her, not pulling away yet. It wasn't as easy to kiss Illyana, once they were sober. She regret not leaning closer, not kissing her yet. But she want to do it when she feels ready.
"Just Illyana." She nod "And you better take me out on a date once i'm healed."
The blond smile as she kiss Seol's palm with a softness she never saw before. "I hope you heal quickly then."
