Vee loved to bask in the sun.
I mean, who wouldn’t? The feeling of the sun on your body is very comfortable.
It also led to some very funny moments, such as the time Hunter saw her fullly on her side absorbing the sunrays and thought she was passed out and did a vitals check on her.
However, there is much more to it than that.
The warmth serves as a permanent reminder that she is free.
In her old life, it was essentially always cold; her egg was hatched from that of the subspecies of basilisk from the Chest, so it was not accustomed to cold temperatures. And whilst she was on the run, the escaped basilisks often traveled by night and hid by day.
She often basked in the Sun at camp, which everyone took as typical “Luz” weirdness.
But after everything was settled, she found herself doing it a lot more. Primarily in Camila’s backyard.
And she always savored every second of it.
