   Summary

   Shen Wenlang had spent years chasing the ghost of Gao Tu, of the life they could’ve had, of the person he might’ve been if he hadn’t destroyed it all. What’s left of him now barely resembles an alpha. The injections keep him numb. Sleep comes in pills. Regret fills in the rest.

   He tells himself it’s better this way. That people like him don’t deserve second chances.

   Then an accidental encounter at the amusement park, people meddling and a collapse, sets things in motion.
