Summary
All things considered, Seonghwa did a great job that day. He kept his dongsaengs in check, nudged a few ideas to their Leader, and perfected his own choreo. He gently adjusted San’s elbow during one freeze-frame when he deemed it too close to his face, and even went to tie Wooyoung’s shoelace when it came undone. He loved doing these things, looking after his group. To them, he was Mother, their oldest hyung, their problem-solver. A co-parent with their Leader.
Seonghwa didn’t show weakness, couldn’t. Couldn’t afford to. He never let himself cry in front of them, never tripped up and fell during practice, and never broke down from exhaustion during their trainee days. No, Seonghwa always had a duty to his dongsaengs, to cook them food, wake them up for school, be the voice of reason, be Mother.
But Seonghwa wasn’t born for this role.
