Your taunting Gaze fills me with shame
So what if I am?
You awoke for him
Not me
It was him you needed
Him who saved you
Was I not enough?
For I was there
For every breath you took
Yet it was his brief presence that brought you back to me
His soft words,
Not mine
You may tell me I have no right
And that may be true
But so what?

Not her, too?
You Watch me with almost pity
Okay, so what?
You never looked at me like that
Like I understood something that nobody else did
Like you wanted to talk
Like I was more than a job
A whole person you wanted to know
So what?
But I know I have you now,
