Summary
Wrenwyn Fairley is not many things. She is only one thing: a weapon designed to kill. Her mission has been clear since childhood. She will complete it, and then she will die.
Bordering the last days of her mission, she retreats to the country where her prerogatives are. For the sake of discretion, she rents a place with a garden in the front yard, a small fountain, and seven male housemates, the last part in small font on the lease that she hadn't read.
These seven housemates have secrets. They often distract her with their looming darkness and wisps of tragedy, but she cannot be distracted from her mission to survive, to fight, and to die. It was what she was made for. It is all she is good for. And her seven housemates may try to distract her with heavy hands, lidded eyes, the smell of whiskey, leather, and a startling gentleness that she has never quite known, but they will not succeed.
She will succeed, her mission will come to fruition, and she will die, just as she was born to do. She is Wrenwyn the weapon, and that is all she will ever be.
