Summary
AU: King Nanook demands Phainon’s hand in marriage in exchange for an alliance with Adlivun that Amphoreus desperately needs. Amphoreus declines but, determined to save his country, Phainon sneaks out and rides to Adlivun's Imperial Palace.
Khaslana is a pragmatic person, always making the sensible choice. He would never risk starting a war against the overwhelming might of the Adlivun Empire.
Which doesn’t explain why there is currently a giant hole in the roof where Phainon is having dinner with King Nanook, discussing the marriage alliance between their countries. A hole that Khaslana created when he entered via said roof, sword first, punching through it as if it were made of paper.
“Khas! What are you doing?”
“Phainon,” Khaslana says, in the deadened emotionless tone that means he’s passed fucking furious and come clean out the other side. “Come. Here. Now.”
