It was a wonderfully bright morning, the sunlight was lit directly into a sleeping Melonpanna's face, from the unbearable brightness caused her to steer awake, moving away from the lightsource as she gently rubbed her eyes
"Ow...what was that?.." Melonpanna gently wiped her eyes with her sleeve, she turned around and checked out the outside view of her bed, "Ah, it's so early.." she yawned not long after, she shoved her blanket aside and hops off her spot, slumped over while she slides her slippers on place. "Mmh.. I should get up and ready myself before anything else.." she thought to herself.
Uncle jam heard the steps from above, he took out a freshly baked tray of cookies out the stove with a smile, "Good morning Melonpanna-chan!, did you sleep well?" He called her from downstairs, her attention immediately going towards him. "Yes!!" She lifted a smile up on her face, fixing her posture and changing quickly before she excitedly climbs down the stairs "Uncle Jam! Today's the day isn't it?!?" She spoke with such enthusiasm and excitement within her voice, "Mhm! It's the day you and Kana are going on a date right?" "Yes!" Melonpanna answered back immediately.
"Perhaps you need to bring a few things here and there before you go dear, where's your bag?" Uncle jam brings out an empty jar, carefully placing one cookie at a time inside the jar, "You're right! I-I should have thought about that earlier.." Melonpanna blushed out of embarrassment, perhaps her excitement over the date was so strong it made her forget to bring her essentials! "Hold on, I'll go back upstairs and get my stuff!" She rushed back upstairs to get her bag, Uncle Jam chuckled over how much she was getting into this.
Upstairs, she opened the door quickly, looking everywhere to find her bag for a few moments until she finally gets ahold of it, "Aha! There it is!" She grabbed it out of the hanger it was dangling by, she adjusts the length of the bag and checked the inside of it as well, there was melon perfume, melon lip balm, melon hair clips...and a special necklace. She took the jewellery out of the bag's compartment and grinned to herself "Oh, how could I forget about this? I hope Kana-chan will love this!" She spoke to herself once again, she carefully observed each and every detail of the necklace, it was clean, smooth, plated with a nice, silver coating, accentuated by bright orange and purple gems, She made sure the gift would appeal to Kana's likings the most.
Although, she stared at it for too long as Uncle jam called her downstairs again, "Melonpanna-chan!! Kana is here!", Melonpanna flinched and quickly shoved the necklace back inside the compartment and zipped it tight, "Coming!!" She twitched her leg and fidgeted with her gloves, she couldn't wait and quickly ran back down to pin eye contact between her and Kana
"Melonpanna-chan!" Kana called out to her, walking inside as the two ran and hugged one another tightly in a loving embrace,"Kana-chan!! UWAAH!! Finally! you've been making me wait for too long!" Melonpanna whined playfully, nuzzling herself within Kana's fluffy hair, "Haha...sorry, I was taking some time to get ready" She replied back, Melonpanna pulled herself back and stared at Kana with a cute little grin, "Aw, that's okay Toots, atleast you're here now!" She replied back, giving her a little Eskimo kiss.
Uncle jam stood there, smiling proudly at the two, "Mmm, before you two go..why don't you bring some of my cookies so you two don't go hungry, hm?" "Really?? That'd be amazing Sir Jam!" Kana perked up at the mention of cookies, Melonpanna nods her head at the offer "Mhm! Absolutely! Why wouldn't we?? You're always so great at baking Uncle jam!" They laughed together, "ofcourse!" Uncle jam would check one of the shelves, finding packaging paper that was big enough to fit 4 baked goods inside, he placed the remaining cookies inside the bag and rolled the entrance of the bag tight, "here you go! You two have fun!" He hands the lunchbag over to Melonpanna, who puts it inside her bag right after, "We will!" The pair waved goodbye to Uncle jam before going outside, Melonpanna crouched herself down to let Kana get on top of her back comfortably, and then the two flew off to hang out in Melonpanna's secret flower garden.
