“So you’re trying to say he did this from the kindness of his heart? That he saved you?” Bucky spat out the words like it was venom.
“Whether he was kind or not, that’s subjective, but every time I regained consciousness I was asked if I wanted to die. Every time I said no. So he kept trying to save my body, or what was left of it, until he wasn’t able anymore.”
“That doesn’t make it right,” he said. “What he did to you wasn’t right.”
John tilted his head at that, as his brain processed his wording. The LED on his temple turned from blue to yellow.
It wasn’t… right?
