Trading Embarrassment

Summary:

Noctis and Prompto awkwardly share a bed every night. Every night they find a new distressing cause for embarrassment. But they'll never complain--that would mean having to admit why this is so embarrassing.

Work Text:

Seven scenes arranged vertically of Noctis laying in bed at night. Scene 1: Noctis lays on his side facing the viewer with two pillows stacked under his head while looking at his phone, the soft glow of the screen illuminating his face and chest. He wears a dark shirt and sweat pants. A figure lays in bed behind him, only a shoulder and blonde hair visible. Scene 2: Noctis lays in the same position, but now his phone lays on the lower pillow next to his hand. His eyes are turned toward his shoulder where a hand rests. He blushes. Prompto is more visible now. He has rolled onto his back, one hand thrown onto Noctis's shoulder and ear. The blanket has fallen down to his shins as he bends a knee, showing Prompto’s light colored boxers and his red tank top. Scene 3: Noctis holds still, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment and his eyes wide. Prompto has rolled over to nuzzle his face against Noctis’s neck, throwing one arm over Noctis’s side as Prompto spoons him from behind. Scene 4: Noctis’s eyes start to close and he smiles softly as his cheeks continue to burn. He’s getting tired but he enjoys the contact. Prompto has shifted to lay on his back, perpendicular, with his head resting on Noct’s side. Prompto’s legs dangle off the side of the bed in the background while his arms are spread wide, one hand back to lay against Noctis’s hair. Scene 5: Noctis has fallen asleep with a goofy smile on his face. His cheeks are still pink, but less so. Prompto has fully turned to lay with his head at the opposite end of the bed. He’s turned away a bit, his feet resting on his pillow and one hand thrown back to hold Noctis’s thigh. Scene 6: Prompto has rolled toward Noctis again. Noctis remains asleep, softly smiling, as Prompto grasps his ankles. Prompto is happily cuddling Noct’s feet, a wide smile on his sleeping face. Final Scene: A close up of Prompto’s face and torso, cuddling Noctis’s legs and feet, but Prompto has awoken, horrified to find himself not only cuddling his friend, but specifically his friend’s feet. A deep blush spreads across his face, his eyes open wide as he stares at Noct’s feet only an inch away, frozen in surprise and unsure what to do.
