Parte del proceso de aceptar un mundo en el que él ya no se siente necesario, es aprender a aceptar que necesita de otros también, sobre todo cuando hubo una persona que desde antes y ahora siempre ha querido que lo reconozca.

The cafe where Ignis and Gladio have lunch on Tuesdays isn't particularly busy this week. It's a good thing, because Ignis doesn't want to broach this subject where someone might overhear and report it back to the tabloids. "Tell me," he says, when their server has brought their meals, "has Noctis ever spoken to you of any…romantic inclinations?"
Gladio chokes on his sandwich, and has to take a few long drinks of water. Ignis hadn't thought it was that shocking of a question, but perhaps Gladio's misunderstood his intent. He's about to clarify when Gladio says, "He talked to you about Prompto too?"

“I hate my life,” Noctis mumbles as he pushes his head out of the hoodie’s collar.
“You don’t mean that,” Gladio answers casually, watching him from the doorstep of his bedroom.
“But I do. It sucks.”
Noctis keeps rummaging through the huge bag lying on the carpet. He isn’t happy, and after all, it’s his right to feel so. He pushes a t-shirt aside and fishes a pair of pants from the very bottom - baggy, faded blue jeans. They feel soft under his fingers. He’s never worn anything faded in his life and he pulls them on.
“Stop sulking, princess. I know you haven’t been feeling your best lately, and that’s why we’re doing something about it.”
Noctis shrugs as he zips the pants and arranges his sweater over it. It all feels strange. A nice kind of strange, if he’s being honest.
“It’s not like we’re going to do anything exciting,” he still says, because his brain has decided to be sour today.
“Who cares? It’ll do for a change, and I dare you to look me in the eye and tell me that you wouldn’t do just about anything if it meant you got to walk around in that ridiculous getup.”OR
Noctis needs to touch some grass and Gladio knows exactly where to take him.

"Two Crownsguard," Daisy repeats, getting agitated. "Are ya into trouble my boy?"
Noct isn't - shouldn't - be in trouble. He's a nineteen-year-old who needs two jobs to pay rent and spends his leisure time gaming and fishing. He doesn't even go drinking with other people his age at the pub because it requires talking and having friends - both things Noct doesn't exactly excel at.
"No? No, I- no I don't think so..."
There's no reason for Crownsguards to...Oh.
'That could be the reason', Noctis thinks bitterly.

Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum is kidnapped during Fenestanor Manor and assumed dead. Two years later, a young, amnesiac 8 year-old-boy at the edge of Lucis's borders is assumed to be the prince, until a negative DNA test crushes his dream of finding his family.
