Summary:

Ever since Blue was little shes needed Owen.

Work Text:

She woke up and noticed her mommy wasn’t next to her. Getting up, she looked around their nest and began checking different rooms. When her mommy wasn’t in the kitchen, she sniffed the air, trying to locate him. With her mom's scent all over the nest, she couldn’t smell his exact location.

She ran around their entire nest searching for her mommy, and couldn’t find him anywhere. She started to get scared and began to cry. She didn’t know where her mommy was and wasn’t sure if he’d ever come back. She was terrified her mommy was gone forever, just like her sisters.

She cried and shouted for her mommy, begging her to come back and not to leave her alone. She didn’t like to be alone.

A moment later and the door opened, revealing her mommy. He gave her a worried look as he rushed inside to check on her.

“Blue?”

She jumped into her mommy's arms and cuddled against his chest, breathing in his scent. She never wanted to be separated from her mommy again. She’d been so scared he’d never come back.

She felt her mommy pet her little head, apologizing for leaving and scaring her.

“I thought you’d be asleep for a little longer. I’m sorry for scaring you, Blue.”

She nuzzled his hand, and her mommy smiled. She chirped happily, relieved her mommy was back and that she wasn’t alone anymore. After that, she followed her mommy closely, never wanting to be out of eyesight. She was constantly scared that if she didn’t see her mommy, then he’d disappear just like her sisters.

When she eventually got new sisters, she didn’t need her mommy quite so much. She still missed him whenever he went away and needed to see him every day, otherwise she’d freak out. Worried her mom had left them forever and was never coming back.

Whenever he’d return, her mom would reassure her that he was back and that he wasn’t going to leave her. She’d always snuggle against his side, relieved he was back where he belonged.

After killing the false one, she looked over at her mom. She felt guilty for believing the false ones' lies and turning on her mom. She wanted to run over and bury her face into his neck just like she did as a baby. She wanted her mommy to hold her close and reassure her that everything was going to be okay.

Her mom shook his head, wanting space. She decided to look for her sisters and come back later when her mom had time to think. She wanted all of them to apologize for hurting their mom and promise they’d never do it again.

She searched all over, calling her sisters' names. When they didn’t answer, she followed their scent and found their bodies. She nudged them with her nose, crying for them to get up. She felt a tear fall because it was just like when she was younger, her sisters were gone. It had taken her until early morning to find the last of her sisters or what was left. Charlie had been killed in the forest, which explains why she wasn’t there to help in the fight against the false one.

When she realized all of her sisters were gone, she began to panic. She ran back to the last place she saw her mom and found him gone. She looked all over, following his scent, trying to find him.

She called for him in a panic, just like she did all those years ago. She begged him to come back and not to leave her alone. She hated being alone ever since her sisters died the first time. Her mommy had always been there to reassure her that he wasn’t going to leave, and now he was gone, and she had to find him.

She ran back to the raptor padlock, desperately calling for her mommy. She expected him to be there just like usual, and instead found it empty. She searched around frantically and remembered her old home from a long time ago. She ran back to the bungalow and felt hope surge through her when she smelled her mommy.

She called his name, but received no answer. She stopped running and instead walked forward, feeling anxious. She was scared that she’d find him inside dead, just like her sisters. She stood outside for a moment longer, calling for her mom.

When she still didn’t receive an answer, she broke his door down. She knew her mom would be upset, but didn’t care. All she cared about was finding her mommy and the last of her pack. She searched all over their old nest and couldn’t find him anywhere.

She cried for her mommy just like she did all those years ago, except this time, no one came to comfort her. This time, she was alone, and her mommy wasn’t coming back. Even though she knew he was gone, she still found herself looking for him.

Later, she would pick up his scent again, which led her towards the ocean. She found an area filled with the scent of people. They were long gone, but she finally realized what had happened to her mommy. The evil humans had taken him away from her, and she promised herself vengeance. If she ever saw another human, she’d take her revenge for stealing her mommy away.

Years passed, and she’d lost a lot of weight. Hunting was hard without her pack, and she rarely felt motivated to eat. She was lonely all the time and missed her pack so much. Then one day she smelled something familiar. Even though she had a feeling it was a trap, she ran as fast as she could, hoping that maybe her mommy had returned for her and that she wasn’t going to be alone anymore.

Following his scent, she jumped onto a car with a snarl. Looking at the human in front of him, he smelled like her mommy, but there was something off about him. He didn’t act like her mommy, which made her howl in anguish. She jumped off, watching as the human pretended to be her mommy, making a mockery of the bond they had. He threw meat at her, which she didn’t take, knowing it was probably drugged.

She jumped on him with a snarl and prepared to bite him when the human reached up and petted her. It had been so long since she’d last been touched in a friendly manner that it made her shudder. The human cooed and sang a familiar song from when she was a baby. She nuzzled the human, breathing in his scent, and found no other scent. This wasn’t a trap; this was his mommy. She cried in anguish and pressed against her mommy, wanting comfort just like when she was young. The two of them stayed cuddled together for a long time, just holding each other and grieving the loss of her sisters.
