Before Niran and Mantis helped Overwatch in the mysterious occurrences, the Guardians gained a new member.
Mantis was tending to the flowers, when she had to hide upon hearing the door open.
There was an Indian woman who arrived at their home. Mantis recognized her based on stories alone.
Her name was Satya Vaswani, also known as Symmetra. She was Niran's roommate in Vishkar Academy, when they were still students.
Mantis chuckled on how Niran spoke about his snoring helping her sleep, or how she was angry that he didn't wash dishes in the sink. Niran left eleven prior years later, when he refused to give his technology to Vishkar.
Now, something brought Satya here. No doubt Vishkar sent her to have her retrieve the tech.
She quietly followed the two, while in the shadows, and listening.
Satya said that Niran wished to profit off of his contributions for the Collective. That was the most stupid thing that Mantis had ever heard. He was doing it for the world, and she knew him personally, more than Satya.
It didn't take long for her suspicion that Vishkar lied to Satya to be confirmed. The Indian woman was brainwashed and manipulated by Vishkar for their own gain, and Mantis would not let them get what did not belong to them, especially Biolight.
Satya needed to be saved.
They fought back against the Null Sector that attacked and attempted to get more Omnics to their cause, and when Satya was wounded, she was healed by both Niran, and Mantis. The latter was in the back, and Satya never had seen such a gorgeous being.
Satya decided that she would search for the original vision of the Vishkar's found, not follow the one that Vishkar currently pursued. She found that Mantis was elegant, despite being the humanoid alien that found her way to this Earth, and by Niran.
Before she left, Satya secretly became the member of the Guardians, while agreeing to spy on Vishkar.
Before she would return, she stayed with Niran and Mantis. She taught Niran's partner on dancing. Satya could see Mantis' love for Niran, given that they had many things in common and the relationship that bloomed after their fateful meeting. Alongside Satya befriending Mantis.
Mantis was certain that Niran would be liked by other Guardians. Peter, Rocket, Groot. They would like Niran and be happy for Mantis's relationship with the man, the inventor of Biolight.
Satya also secretly planned to investigate Mantis' suspicion that Vishkar had ties to Talon, but with caution, of course.
And protecting Niran.
