I DONT KNOW. corpse party x 100 line au does anyone hear me

Work Text:

This place sucks. It smells of mold and rot everywhere he goes. The floorboards creak unsettlingly with every step. A number of corpses higher than anyone should have to have already been seen during the past hour and it’s pushing him to his limit. He’s sick to his stomach, and the absolute moron he’s stuck with isn’t making it any easier. Making it worse, actually.

Takumi’s…dumb. Really, really stupid. There’s no way around it. Eito’s his friend, so he’d never say it to his face, but he’s really stupid. Sometimes he has a moment of brilliance, like having Eito stay put to grab a key that moves with the room so they’re not trapped on the same floor forever. But other times he’s so dumb he can’t stand it. Always worried about ‘Karua, Karua, Karua,’ it annoys him to no end. Even when they’re trapped in this place, she’s all he can keep thinking about. How she’s doing. How she’s holding up. If she’s okay. If she’s alive. Even when Takumi’s focus shifts to him, be it due to dizziness or nausea, it’s short lived and it makes Eito jealous all over again. He hates this. The only good thing to come from this is that he’s not trapped in the same space as her. If that were the case, he might actually lose his mind. The disembodied whispers get him pretty close already.

A particularly grisly display of what looks to be fresh guts splattered against a wall has the two of them pausing, Eito instantly retching into his own hand at the sight. Fresh. Red guts, meaning within the last few hours. The possibility of it being one of their friends runs through his mind and makes him even sicker. How horrible. Even if he gets frustrated and fights with them on occasion, he’s never wanted to see any of them dead. He feels Takumi’s hand cling onto his sleeve, the only words he’s able to express being a shaky “What the hell?!”

And oh, that’s…that’s new. Takumi’s expression is way more horrified than the ones he’s seen before. He’s been scared seeing ghosts and corpses, they both have, but nothing like this. Brows twist and turn upwards, eyes wide and constricted in visceral terror. Something shifts in him, warping and changing and becoming something twisted. He can’t remember thinking this before, but Takumi’s face when he’s scared is cute.

And for a moment, he thinks he wouldn’t mind staying here a little longer.
