Those were the last words Bakugo said to Midoriya - Nearly five years ago. Possibly the last words spoken to Midoriya at all. The middle schooler disappeared that day. At first, he thought he had just scared him from coming to school, but that week became a month long search spurred on by the boys' single mother. Then six. What seemed initially like sadistic satisfaction became indifference. By the time he got to high school, it was fear. Worry. Guilt. By the time graduation came and his UA Acceptance letter came in, the guilt had faded to a dull pang. Still there. Haunting him like the ghost of a child.
Karasu wasn't a good kid. He tried to be, wanted to be. it just seemed like he was truly unlucky. His admission to the country's most prestigious hero school made others think otherwise.
