Work Text:
The tour bus finally stopped inside the parking garage of the venue for the night’s show. Harry was putting on five shows here over the next eight days so it was the perfect opportunity to have the kids get to see what their Daddy did while he was away from them.
“Good job helping your brother, Jude,” Louis whispered to his daughter as she sat by the door trying to shove a pair of shoes onto Lennon’s feet. “How about Papa helps you?”
“Hat on,” the little girl pointed to her head as she stood, leaving her brother's side to search for a hat.
Once all three kids had shoes on their feet and hats firmly attached to their heads, they all stepped outside the bus doors.
Thankfully security was already established and a couple of body guards were muling around outside waiting for them.
“Hey, Louis, you need me to tag along?” Philp, one of the newer guards asked.
“Please,” he nodded back at them. “These monsters are needing to get some energy out and Harry and Zayn are still asleep.”
“I’m pretty sure there is a little grassy spot around the corner we can take them too.” Philp pointed in the general direction.
Challenging his kids to a race, Louis took off running, going slowly enough that his kids would surely beat him. It didn’t take long for all three of them to move to the front and giggle as they took turns arguing over who was winning.
The grassy spot, as it turns out, was a sizable hill. At least for the age of the youngest members of the Styles’ clan.
Louis ran to the top of the hill ahead of everyone else. “Stand back everyone and watch your Papa.”
He laid himself out, tucking his arms up around his head and rolled his body down the grassy knoll. Immediately he heard three excited giggles as three bodies ran past him up the hill.
“Like, Papa,” Max yelled as he tried to figure out how Louis had put his arms above his head.
“See,” Jude excitedly started her first roll, “like me.”
“Papa, help Len,” one of the twins demanded as Louis tried to help the other.
It didn’t take very long before all three kids were giggling wildly and rolling over and over. Philp and Louis laughed along with them as they made sure none of them hit a tree or fell off the curb.
“Who dat?” Jude patted Louis' thigh, pointing to a group of girls that had gathered along a fence line on one side of the lot.
“Hello,” Lennon waved his little hand about his head.
The girls screamed and waved back, all of them having their phones out clearly recording.
“Those are some of Daddie’s fans,” Louis knelt down to talk to his kids. “They’re probably just trying to see if they can see him.”
“Want me to go talk to them?” Philp looked to Louis.
“No, it’s okay,” Louis shook his head.
He took his kids and they made their way closer to the fence that separated them from the group of girls.
As soon as the girls realized they were approaching them they started waving. “Hi Louis, oh my god thank you for coming over with your kids. They are adorable.”
“Sorry it’s me, Harry’s busy at the moment.” Louis wrapped a comforting hand around Maxwell as he nuzzled into Louis’ leg. Always the shyest of the three.
“That’s okay, we appreciate you coming to see us.” The loudest girl spoke.
“Especially with the kids.” Another added. “We won’t post any videos or photos of them.”
“Thank you, we appreciate that very much.” Louis smiled. “And thanks for coming to the show.”
“Daddy sleeping, Baba” Lennon decided to let the girls know.
“You watching Daddy sing too?” Jude, usually the most talkative one of his kids, asked.
“Yeah, we came to see your Daddy sing tonight. Are you going to watch him sing too?”
Maxwell happily shook his head while Lennon gave them a confident mmhmm .
”Papa says I no sing with Daddy. I like me and Daddy sing let go, let go…” Jude twirled in place and flung her arms out as she danced and continued to sing the song until she forgot the words.
The group of girls giggled and cooed as they watched the little girl give them her performance.
“You’re a very good singer, you must take after your daddy.” One of them praised when Jude was finished.
“Love,” Louis bent down and wrapped his arms around Jude. “Remember Baba told you that when Daddy is practicing you’ll be able to go on the stage with him.”
“I member, but Papa, Lennon said he laugh at me and throw matoes.” Jude put her hands on her hips and stuck her tongue out at her brother. “I can’t like those.”
“Your brothers will not throw anything at you. They will be nice boys and if they aren’t they will go to bed instead of watching Daddy tonight.”
“Will my friends watch me and Daddy’s song?” Jude pointed to the girls they had been talking too.
“No, sweetheart. No one will be inside yet.” Louis answered her.
“Then who watching me?”
“Baba and I will watch you. We will take a video so you can show Nanny Anne.”
“You’re such a good Dad Louis.” One of the more quiet girls finally spoke up.
“Can we bother you to get a picture?” The first one asked.
“Yeah, of course. Just me though, not the kids.” Louis called Philip over. “Philip, would you mind walking them back? I'll catch up after taking the photo.”
It only took a few moments for Louis to wrap things up with the group of girls and he jogged his way to meet his kids.
Max ran over and put his arms in the air, silently asking Louis to pick him up. “Papa,” he started, “hungry, we nack please.”
“How about I check if Daddy and Baba are awake and we can all go inside and get something to eat?”
The three children yelled their agreement.
As they were getting closer to the tour bus, though, Louis couldn’t help but startle as Harry’s hand slammed against the bed window. It was followed by some quiet grunts that Louis would recognize anywhere.
“Change of plans, kiddos,” Louis quickly steered them away. “I will text Daddy and let him know we’ve gone to eat. He will bring Baba to meet us when they get up.”
A small chorus of okay could be heard and they were none-the-wiser.
Louis would, however, been having a talk with his husbands about some sort of code or something to avoid any unfortunate events that could happen in the future when the whole family was touring together.
