It wasn’t until they were unloading the bags from Baku’s truck that Hyuntak had paused, looked over at Sieun, and asked in a snarky manner, “Sieun. Was orientation really all that? You know, since you didn’t reach out once in the span of five days or something?”
Suho expected an impassive response, a curt reply like he’d responded before to seemingly insignificant inquiries like these. He glanced over, already imagining the apathetic expression Sieun would wear. To his surprise, Sieun had a small grin plastered on his face as he muttered out a simple sentence in reply.
“Good. It was really good.”
Really, in hindsight, he shouldn’t have been that surprised. Suho didn’t think a five day orientation had been enough to change a person but at times it seemed like Sieun had some sort of personal vendetta against Suho that compelled him to prove Suho wrong at any given chance. It was hard to refute the fact that Sieun had come back with a faint radiance to him that hadn’t really been there before.
With imminent university departures approaching, Sieun prepensely seeks out change.
Suho wants anything but that with Sieun.
