Summary
Elvira has nobody in Hawkins. It's the cheapest town close to her college so she saves a lot by renting there and driving an hour to her lectures. It's not too bad though. She makes friends super easily, and they're really nice- like the nicest people she's ever met, is that just how people are brought up in this town?
Drawn to the supernatural, she doesn't blink when her new friends, Robin, Nancy, Steve, and Eddie, tell her what they've been through. She asks questions about the Upside Down, offers her shoulder to them and a listening ear. They're surprised somebody like her exists.
Falling in love with her is inevitable, and with a united effort to win her over, she falls too.
It's great at first. They can be a little overbearing at times but it's a trauma response, Elvira tells herself. She can afford to sacrifice little freedoms now and again to reassure them she's safe, they're all safe, and honestly with all the constant flattery and attention it's the least she can do to feel like she's giving back. It's not enough though. With how uncertain their world is right now, they realise they need to take drastic measures to ensure Elvira is safe, even if she doesn't agree.
