Hiraeth (home is wherever you are)

Summary:

It's been two months since Togame's confession and today on Ori's rooftop, Sakura contemplates

Notes:

*crawls out of the cave* erm Hi! this is my first ever fanfic after 10 years of being Ao3 user and I finally wrote my first fic after 10 years mainly due to 3 reasons

1) I hate genAI. I hate seeing how tech bros tries to discredit and replace human passion and love plus wanting to contaminate a place that is sacred and filled with pure love for art and joy for capitalism. I will never let human passion dissappear
2) I want to get back to writing, I stopped writing for years due to abuse and shame from people I trust so in a way this is my way of reclaiming a piece of me that I had hid for years just to honour my sillies
3)I LOVE TOGASAKU, they had been my hyperfixation for almost two years hehe

Thank you if you read my yapping, Disclaimer English isn't my first language and I wrote this in a span of one month and a half

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Sakura's life was incredibly eventful. First thing in his list was  to attend class, that would be good if that’s the only thing he needs to worry off to be honest. The very second he opened the classroom door, the Sun more accurately Nirei greated him enthuastically and immediately fill him in with the latest Makochi news, then Suo with his fox-like smile would point at his hair and noted him about his bed hair which prompt the monochrome haired boy to fix it. A minute of doing so he looked at Suo’s unchanging smile and belatedly realised that Suo had tricked him again which earned a scowl from him.

Then, the ever excited Tsugeura would pat (smack to be more precise) his back as a form of greeting and Sakura consider himself lucky that he didn’t puke all of his breakfast from the pat (smack) followed by a laxed good morning from ever unfethered Kiryuu. Sakura will always sighed each morning but not an annoyed one. Never an annoyed one. Contrast to when he was in middle school and no one batted an eye whenever he came to the class, neither when he wasn’t there, to have his existence celebrated filled Sakura with this contentment he can’t put in words but grateful nonetheless.

Second thing in his list is to attend the daily meeting on the Fuurin rooftop. The moment he opened the door a loud booming voice will greeted him accompanied by a bone-crushing hug by Tsubakino then Hiiragi will desperately tries to keep the poor boy spine intact. As Sakura tried to catch his breath another smack would land on his back and greetings from Umemiya that always seemed to be excited about everything and anything. Sakura wonders how long it will take before his spine dislocate entirely when he was then pushed away by the ever annoyed Sugishita claiming he’s blocking the path (it’s an open space for God sake). It’s not like everyday the pattern would be like this but he’s not going to lie, he did enjoy the comfort of unpredictability on each days coming.

Today he will be grouped with Nirei and Suo to patrol the shopping street. Sakura could feel his stomach grumbles, he knew that the moment he put one foot on the shopping street, it will be an uninvetable shower of freebies from the sellers. He thought he also wanted to visit the Cactus after he was done with the patrol. Togame had expressed his craving of their curry bun and he hoped he could grab some before they run out, then Sakura paused.

Wait.

Why is he thinking of that Shishitoren’s Vice President when Hiiragi was giving a briefing??? How embarassing! A gentle tint of red decorating Sakura’s cheek and the ever observant Suo will absolutely pointed it out loud paired with Nirei’s anxious questioning about his condition. Sakura grumbled out that it was nothing. Goddamn that shaggy hair, invading his brain once again. Nevertheless, he will still went to pick up the bread later.

==================================================================================================

Today’s patrol is peaceful thankfully. Sakura wouldn’t mind a fight or two but no disturbance was better for the townsfolk and less cleaning up work later on. That gave him ample time to visit To-

Smack Sakura’s hand met his forehead. Why shaggy hair invading his brain again. In the middle of patrol, urgh this was so stupid.

“Sakura-kun, that’s the seventh facepalm you did today!” Suo noted with a playful smile adorning his face.

“Why are you counting you dumbass!” Sakura glares at the eyepatched boy but secretly he banged his head in his brain, Seventh times???? For only half of the day he already thought of that Shaggy hair several time it became noticeable. He wanted to dig a hole and just screamed in it.

“Are you okay, Sakura-san? I didn’t count but I did notice you seemed to be dazed recently, are you having enough rest?” Nirei asked with so much worry in his eyes. Sakura felt touched but honestly he rather fight with Endo again than admitting that he couldn’t stop thinking about certain someone. Especially when that certain someone had a certain status that made him trembled just thinking of it.

“How many times I have to tell you guys that it’s nothing, it’s just insects” What a lame excuse but he’s not ready to have the talk yet with them. Sakura could feel a pang of guilt hits him on his heart, it’s not he didn’t trust them. He’s just unsure how to do this.

He never thought that this will ever happen to him or him doing this but now it’s happening, he was still taking baby steps. Look, he couldn’t even say that word in his head out loud. Therefore, he wished that they were patient enough with him. He wanted to be able to share this part of him with them too, they had given him their trust and love and in return Sakura wanted to give the best state of himself to them too. So for now, they have to bear with his lame excuses. He knew they will wait, it just the small part of his heart that was nervous about it.

“Wahhh, I didn’t notice it’s insects seasons! But I do find it fascinating that it go to Sakura-kun only” Suo teased again while laughing “Suo-san! Stop teasing Sakura-san” Nirei pouted while knocked his fist to Suo’s shoulder. Suo just laughed it off and grabbed Nirei’s fist and caressed it playfully. Sakura tensed. Oh no. Why is his romance censor seems to be going off?? Hold on?? Does this two?

“Wait, Sakura-san why we somehow ended up here?” Nirei’s voice immediately stopped both his brain and feet. As Sakura stood still and looked around it dawned on him where they were when he saw the iconic arch tunnel adorned with the grand Lion symbol on top of it. This is it. This where his life ends.

“Nirei-kun, I almost forget that Hiiragi-san told me to meet him at Pothos, can you accompany me?” for the first time today, Suo’s voice finally brings him comfort for him and way out for him without needing him to explain himself.

“Eh! What about Sakura-san?” Nirei alerted, Sakura genuinely grateful that Nirei always wanted to include him in everything but at this moment, he wished for nothing than both of them to spare himself from this ensuing embarassement.

“I believe Sakura-kun has other tasks to do? He is our class leader after all” Sakura didn’t know if Suo winked at him but with his body language he might as well assume so.

“Besides, Nirei-kun don’t you want to spare time for me?” Sakura could hear the coyness in Suo’s voice and this time he might as well die in another way.

“SUO-SAN, STOP TALKING! LET’S GO!” this time it was Nirei’s turn to spot a deep red blush on his face and tugged Suo’s hand away and Sakura never thought that Nirei could’ve run as fast as he’s watching right now. Before they leave Suo gave him a final cryptid smile.

It felt like an exchange just happened but Sakura couldn’t put a word on what type of exchange just took place but Sakura felt like they are taking new steps too.

Sigh

Everyday he felt like he exploring the world more without him realised

===================================================================================================

“Are you feeling better now, Sakura?” Togame inquired as they slowly walk down the long stairs from the festival spot. Currently, Togame the ever gentleman he was, noticed Sakura’s fluttering eyelid and offered to walk Sakura home. Sakura didn’t refuse as somehow in the small corner of his heart, it whispered to Sakura to keep Togame longer by his side, besides Togame already helped him to lighten the burden on his shoulder so turning him down seems rude.

“Well, it certainly made my head clearer,” Sakura replied as the road to his slowly becoming more vacant and darker, where the festival provided an abundant of light, slowly the light becomes smaller and smaller and it became a distant memory for Sakura. Now only the street light guiding their way home. Sakura was glad that he could add Summer Festival to the slowly growing list of his new memories and experiences. He couldn’t thank Togame enough for inviting him there, not only Togame gave him a new experience, he also gave him a new perceptive and unknotted the tangle in his heart.

This man kept on giving and he seemed to be even excited to bestow him with anything that Sakura needed. His head jumbled whenever this shaggy head is in any area near his vicinity, he could feel like that his heart is filled with this warmth he couldn’t recognised but he didn’t pour it out back. He kept it deep inside of him and it made a beautiful collection in his heart and it seems like his heart beats faster whenever it could feel Togame’s presence because it knows that they will receive something new again.

How ridiculous, he never knew his heart is capable of doing that.

Clack, clack, clack Sakura’s geta echoed. Sakura knew it wouldn’t be long before they reach their destination. It wasn’t a prospect that Sakura looked forward for. He knew he already monopolised most of Togame’s time tonight but why did he wish that the time move slower, why his feets steps became slower and why he wished that they could’ve just stay there. Under the firework, side by side, untouched by time.

“Sakura, careful!!” Sakura felt his gravity shifted. As he thought his face will met the pavement, a strong arm wrapped around his waist and hoisted him up into a hug with his face buried in Togame’s chest. Sakura swore that it’s a miracle he didn’t became one of the firework that he just witnessed. Togame’s scent invaded his nose and Sakura could detect the soy sauce aroma lingered on Togame’s shirt.

Sakura never knew that someone’s could smell so homely.

“Sorry Sakura! I thought you noticed the stone just now, I’m glad that at least your forehead is still intact.” Sakura could felt every vibration of each words Togame spoken. His heart was near dysfunctioning, to be this intimate with another person was something Sakura didn’t seem to be practicular about but when it did happen Sakura wondered how people did this often without melts into a puddle. Sakura’s body wringled a bit, he didn’t think he could bear this, he could felt his heart was only one heartbeat away from exploding.

But Togame caught him by surprise.

Somehow the grip around his waist felt tighter.

Dup, Dap, Dup, Dap

Sakura could felt that Togame’s heartbeat had taken a notch. The only thing that consuming Sakura’s thought was the increasing pace of both of their heartbeat and also the silence that engulfing them at this moment.

“Sakura” Togame’s voice break the deafening silence. A tremble accompany alongside it. All Sakura reply was a silence.

“I-been wanting to do this for a long time” Sakura could felt his heart stopped. Both him and his romance censor going to implode at any moment. Could Togame said the thing he had in his mind before that happen, it was a race against the time.

“Since I saw you again when you asked for our help, since I saw your determined gaze, since I saw how you face Endo, Since you tried to not burnt the barbeque and the moment I saw your eyes light up alongside the firework, I know I couldn’t stop myself,” Togame arms grew tighter, firmer but not suffocating. Sakura’s didn’t notice when his eyes felt hot.

“I don’t want to scare you, I thought I could be patient, it’s not I haven’t done so but then I couldn’t get your excited voice out of my head and when I laid my eyes on you today, I thanked the stars that I’m still able to function. Breathtaking isn’t enough to describe you, you’re simply just so divine yet so gentle and warm, so clumsy but so determined, so cool yet so full of kindness in your soul,”

The body in Togame’s arm was like a mannequin, the only sign that Togame knew that he was still alive was the steady rhythm of breathe belonged to the boy who buried his face deep into his chest.

Inhale

“I know that this is selfish, I really do” Togame looked up the skies, he didn’t want his tears to touch any part of Sakura’s body. “But holding you so close, seeing you beneath the stars, listening to your heart content, I wish I could provide you with everything Sakura,” Togame really tried his best to stop his tears from overflowing but similar how he couldn’t stop himself from loving Sakura, the tears just couldn’t stop escaping from his eyes.

“So Sakura, can you allow me to stay by your side to support you as your special someone?” Togame could finally breathe, he said it. He’s being selfish again, how he was with Choji and Shishitoren but he wanted to do this. He would not run away from his problems again, he wanted to face this feeling and be as cool as Sakura. He will face anything that will happen from today onwards but he had no regret, as falling in love with Sakura is the best blessing he could ask from the universe.

Nevertheless, Togame admitted the silence actually got his heart skipped a beat. The monochrome haired boy is still motionless in his embrace.

“You don’t need to accept it, okay? This is simply my selfish desire, I always will be by your side don’t worry, no matter what happen, my love towards you will always be there for you” Togame reassured him but then Togame could felt a weird sensation on the area near the area where Sakura hid his face. More specifically a wet one. Then out of the sudden Sakura’s arm started to pound on Togame’s chest relentlessly.

“YOU IDIOT, DON’T SAY ALL THAT FLOWERY BULLSHIT FOR SO LONG! WHY IT TAKES YOU FOREVER TO REACH YOUR POINT! WHY ARE TAKING YOUR TIME WITH EVERYTHING! GODDAMNIT! FUCK!” Sakura screamed but never moved his face from Togame’s chest therefore the volume decreased by a tenfold. Togame’s heart squeezed a little, even in this vulnerable moment, Sakura always managed to find ways to charm his way into his heart.

Sakura settled down after a while. Their position remained unchanged. Togame looked at the boy who will always will bring up a storm wherever he went but Togame more tham willing to welcome the storm with an open arm. He was not afraid, he will never be afraid if there is Sakura.

No noises were made.

“.…Next time, make sure to keep your words short, I didn’t know you could be so poetic,” Sakura broke the silence. Togame heart skipped a beat, he thought Sakura would remain quiet for the next hour or so considered the fiasco that happened but he’s glad that Sakura was responding.

“It just flow you know, the words, that’s what I meant when you rattled me so much you made me did things I didn’t know possible,” replied Togame as he put his chin on top of Sakura’s head. Togame felt a pinch and yelped.

“Warned you didn’t I”

A giggle escaped Togame’s mouth.

“.…I never done this before” muffled voice came from Togame’s chest. Togame’s eyes wide open. Does this mean….

“Me too, don’t worry we can learn together” Togame reassured as he rocked Sakura’s body back and forth slowly like he wanted to lull a baby to sleep.

“You know how horrible my temper is”

“I dealt worse”

“I don’t like to call and text”

“It’s okay me too, that mean more time for us to meet face to face!”

“I won’t share my food”

“I will give you mine”

“.…It’s not easy to stay with me”

Togame smiled, he spaced himself from Sakura and crouched to look at him. Sakura’s eyes were still adorned with tears, there were barely any spot on Sakura’s face that wasn’t painted red, his eyes looked down refusing to meet Togame’s eyes. Togame gently hold Sakura’s face akin to a treasure and their eyes finally met. Doubt, fear, anxiety ,dread but also…longing reflected at Sakura’s eyes.

Togame tears escaped again as he laughed, ever tenderly he put his lips on Sakura’s eyelid then put their forehead together, they both closed their eyes, his actions treated it like a sacred ritual, too scared to hurt even a single eyelash on Sakura’s body.

“It has been like breathing to me since I’ve met you”

They stood there, like the time stopped, the universe empty, only stood both of them in the center of the universe.

Exhale

“If you dare to tell this to everyone, I will kill you” Togame opened his eyes and stood straight still holding Sakura’s face, the only thing left in those beautiful ocean eyes were bashfulness. Togame finally felt like this laugh that came out of him was real this time. He grabbed Sakura and once again put Sakura in an all engulfing hug.

“You will always have my promise, Sakura”

===================================================================================================

Sakura couldn’t believe that it had already been two months since Togame’s grand confession. Honestly speaking Sakura didn't know if he knew what he’s doing and if he’s doing it right.

He didn’t have that much references around him and the references he had were unreliable at best,  like Umemiya and Tsubakino were extremely nonchalant with their PDA where Umemiya will nonchalantly slides his arm around Tsubakino’s waist in front of everybody while talking and Tsubakino will not hesitate to shower Umemiya with kisses when he’s extremely happy or excited and no way in hell Sakura could do any of that.

The next reference was Tsugeura and Kiryuu but just the sight of  Kiryuu sitting on Tsugeura’s lap while playing his game while Tsugeura excitedly pointing the game out from Kiryuu’s back is already a sight that almost made Sakura’s brain malfunctioned and especially how Kiryuu has zero problem laying his head on Tsugeura’s lap none other when they are invading his house like hello??? Kiryuu has his own place to do that??? so Sakura wasn’t sure if they were a helpful reference aside from giving him headache.

And zero chances in hell, he will ever use Endo and Takiishi weirdass situationship as his reference. During his last meet up with Endo, Endo casually revealed that Takiishi had stopped throwing plates at him when he dislike the food Endo cooked but instead will call Endo’s full name and demanded Endo to finish up all the food and Endo reminiscense it like high school girl giggling about their crush.

“I’m so happy he actually took more than two bites, before this, just a sniff is already enough to make him decides if he wants to eat or not!”

Sakura was convinced that somehow one of the plate broke Endo’s brain beyond repair.

But this left Sakura helpless, he’s not ready to ask anyone yet because he knew that everyone will cause a fanfare. Anyone he knew will somehow make a whole fiasco about it so Sakura was not ready for that excitement yet. He wanted to do this with his own pace but hell this was hard,

Sakura wasn’t sure if it’s okay for him meeting up with Togame outside of their agreed time, he wasn’t sure if he bringing the right food (He knows that’s a stupid question, every food is right for Togame) He didn’t know when was the right time to come close to Togame to feel his warmth and if he’s too close for comfort. He wasn’t sure if he knew what to say to indulge him aside from hissing at him when Togame teased too hard. He didn’t know how to ask “Am I doing this right?” without making himself sound like a fool.

Sakura sighed. Overthinking over someone so relentlessly was something Sakura also never thought will be added into the growing list of human experience he would earn when he’s at Makochi. This town would never stop giving him surprises one after another. Nevertheless he still wanted to try confronting and facing his own insecurity and let himself to receive what was given to him.

His eyes were wondering, looking left and right making sure the coast was clear before he continued his walk to Ori. He’s pretty sure majority of Shishitoren wasn’t here as he drilled the Shishitoren schedule more than his own schedule because he wanted to avoid being caught by the Shishitoren member.

It’s not like Togame didn’t visit, it’s just Shishitoren’s turf provided more privacy compared to Bofurin’s because Sakura felt that everyone seemed to be connected with everyone so Sakura bet even if the grandma from the candy store saw him and Togame together the very next day, Nirei would hound him down about the encounter while everyone in the classroom will have this shit bearing grin on their face.

Shudder

Sakura’s blood ran cold with the thought, the walk to Ori was quiet as planned as he slowly tried to creep into the theater, a damning voice came right behind him

“Sakura-chan! Sakura-chan! Glad to see you here!” Sakura closed his eyes and took a deep breath, he couldn’t believe he let his guard down over the ever enthusiastic Shishitoren’s leader presence. He forgot that the jumpy leader will spawn out of nowhere according to his mood so that’s the one variable that Sakura didn’t have much control. Soon after, the ground around Sakura’s started to shake accompanying each jump Choji made around him.

“Hi, Sakura-chan! It’s been a while, wait isn’t only been a week or last Wednesday? Hmm I don’t remember when but glad I could see you here again!” with each Choji’s chatter felt like one hit each time because now Choji had pointed out how often he came to Ori, it kind of left him flustered goddamnit! The worst part was that Choji noticed how often he came that he could even pointed out dates. The information overload will make Sakura combust but then as if that’s Choji’s main goal he added:

“If you’re looking for Kame-chan, he’s on the rooftop! He told me, he’s planning to chill there today but usually he would follow me when I said I’m planning to go to Cactus, that’s so weird huh? Or maybe Kame-chan could detect your upcoming presence, hehe Kame-chan radar is incredibly useful during this time!”

If Sakura has a genie at this moment he would use his wish to have the strongest tape available and to tape it around Choji’s mouth. He kinds of accepted this impromptu humiliation ritual conducted by Choji and wished it would be over soon but then luck on Sakura’s side because he remembered his secret weapon.

“Oh yeah, he told me he’s feeling dizzy and asked for my help to grab some bread, here” Sakura took out his special weapon the yakisoba bread from Cactus that he had as backup, he should’ve used it sooner but Choji was one of the strongest Shishitoren member not only due to his strength but his persistence also played a part.

“Wah!! Thanks Sakura-chan! I will enjoy this, I promise!”

“Ah and also Cactus told me they will having their sale at 5pm you should go check it out, it’s 4.45 already”

“REALLY??? I need to go fast! See you again Sakura-chan!” and with that as fast as he entered that’s how fast he left. Sakura could feel his energy slowly chipping away

=================================================================================================

After managing to defeat the boss level now he could walk to the reward area in ease, Sakura did admit he’s slowly getting a bit anxious by the increasing awareness of everyone in his surrounding but for now he didn’t want to think much about it as he could finally see Togame. He walked up to rooftop, each steps contained this barely hidden excitement and anticipation. His hand finally reached the knob and he twisted it and was greeted by the vast blue sky.

It’s like automatic, Sakura only take one glance to find him. Togame. Using his arms as his pillow and the sky as his witness, Togame laid, eyes closed, chest moving in steady rhytm. Completely oblivious with his surrounding.

He truly lived to his name, Sakura thought as he tried to soften his footsteps not wanting to wake him from his peaceful slumber. Sakura quietly sat besides him, eyes scanning Togame’s visage, wondering.

“Do you think you’re ever worth anything!?” someone shouted after receiving Sakura’s powerful fist. That was years ago, years before he stumbled upon Makochi but it managed to leave a mark in him. A mark that made Sakura wonders his worth. He knrw that his appearance wasn’t ideal to many. His personality wasn’t as warm as most are and there are nothing much Sakura could prove aside than his fist, so fist he used. To prove that he’s in fact worth something, he worth the respect, the fear, the acceptance that’s what he thought when he came here.

Then he was wrong.

Now he loses the one thing he used to prove his worth, Sakura wasn’t sure what else he could have done. Somehow everyone around him managed to find something about him that worth something. It made him happy, glad but most importantly anxious. He didn’t know when he would let them down despite their reassurance, so Sakura tried to learn and thrive as much as he could.

He tried his best to learn and understand more to find worth in other people too but then it didn’t make it easier for Sakura to let people in either. He’s still afraid that one day it will be over, the illusion would be shattered.

So, it did makes him wonder why he lets Togame in.

Their first meeting is a definition of disaster, it’s amusing that they could somehow build a stronger relationship after that. He didn’t think that Togame would be a constant in his life. He didn’t have that much of space both in his heart and he wasn’t ready to let anyone in either but somehow this shaggy hair, someone who literally beat up someone with glass bottle during their first meeting and beat up more people during their fight and also get his ass kicked right in front of him in the span of two days, would literally left such a big mark in his life.

However, Togame provided such an adrenaline that Sakura never had before, a high he never experienced during a fight, to have someone called his name seriously and acknowledge him fully as a person for the first time in his life.

Sakura tried to put a finger why exactly he trust this guy as his eyes never left Togame’s visage. His eyes bore on each of  Togame’s features, savoring it slowly, wanting to find anything that will make him understand. Togame’s eyeslashes wasn’t long but thick, his nose was a bit crooked but added to his charm, his lips looked soft and rightfully so Sakura blushed, he knew because Togame had peppered him with kisses two weeks after being official.

A dawning realisation has formed in Sakura’s mind, it clicked to him, he could stare at Togame without feeling alert and fear. His shoulders were relaxed, their distance wasn’t big, the only emotions that he felt right now was…peace.

Togame was the first person who called his name with so much excitement and respect. The first person that he had exchanged fists that made him grin with excitement instead of anger. So when Choji kicked Togame that hard, he couldn’t conceal his anger. It’s because Togame was also the person who he had communicated with his fists. He didn’t know it was possible, but Togame became his testament.

Togame’s hands were also incredibly big but also warm. Sakura never knew someone’s arm could had so much warmth in it proven by how he supported Shishitoren, how he tried to piece back Shishitoren together with that bloodied hand of his but the time where the warmth stood up the most to him was when Togame pulled him away from the Noroshi’s member. When he mixed the yakisoba together to create such a scrumptious meal for everyone warming their stomach and soul. When he hold Sakura’s hand down the empty road only the street light providing light but somehow Togame will always guide him to the right direction.

For Sakura, his whole life was about vigilance. Making sure none of his guard down, not letting anyone in, due to fear of possible betrayal and abandonment. He couldn’t afford letting anyone in, his heart couldn’t bear all the scars. He only had one heart, he didn’t think he could find another, another voice in his head also told him “Who would’ve want it? Those broken heart of yours” Sakura never disputed that voice, agreeing in silence with them.

However, Togame saw those worn little thing and he took it with both of his hands, gently. Cradling with so much adornment and care, Sakura would be honest: it scared him. The fact that someone capable to enter those barbed fenced area, saw the monstrosity and still say

“Give it to me”

Then Sakura looked at the tightly closed eyelids. Sakura noticed that when those eyelids were opened it would automatically looking for him and the moment their eyes met, Sakura could see how Togame’s eyes soften. For someone who was used to dirty glare, disgusted looks and barely hidden contempt, it took a while for Sakura to get used with meeting Togame’s eyes without wanting to bite him out of embarassment (It still took some practice).

The wind blew gently, swaying Togame’s hair. This shook Sakura out of stupor. How long already he stared at this guy, he could felt his face temperature rise. Knowing Togame, this shaggy head would not wake up anytime soon, Sakura rolled his eyes. Then, he swift his head left and right, to the door and it seemed like no one was coming. The Sun is slowly getting lower. Sakura looked at the sleeping beauty and paused.

Then Sakura slowly laid his head on Togame’s chest, he adjusted his head gently to avoid any stir from Togame. Sakura closed his eyes.

Dup, Dap, Dup, Dap

It sounds exactly same like before. Beating with such steady and strong rhythm. This was the heart that supported Shishitoren when it decaying from inside, this was the heart that harden to carry the burden of Shishitoren, this was the heart that carry and keep so much love and memories to protect what’s precious to him. This was the heart that saw Sakura and decided to love him with their whole entire being.

As Sakura listened to the heart rhythm he could felt his eyeslid getting heavier too. Initially Sakura didn’t want to indulge it but as the wide blue sky as his blanket, Togame’s chest as his pillow and heartbeat as lullaby he knew resistance was futile after all. He closed his eyes, well it had been an eventful day after all

===================================================================================================

Togame slowly opened his eyes, Damn how long he had been asleep, sleeping wasn’t in his plan as he was waiting for his favourite Othello boy to visit him but before he knew it, sleep got to him first. He hoped that Sakura didn’t wait for him for too long. Well it’s not that Togame mind if Sakura being a bit pouty, he loves to see how fast that boy blushed when he teased him a bit too many time.

As he wanted to stretch his body he noticed a weight on his chest, that’s odd he thought, as he looked down he realised an adorable cat has laid on his chest. A monochrome haired cat to be exact. Togame never seen Sakura this serene before, so calm and relaxed and all of it while being on his chest.

“Hahaha” a laugh escaped his mouth.

He puts his arm around Sakura slowly and kissed that boy’s hair then caressed it slowly, so soft and smooth, that’s just what feels right.

“What would I do without you”
