“Now, look cool.”
Crosshair scoffed. “We always look cool.”
Hunter rolled his eyes at that and playfully shoved him.
Tech was still busy setting up the holo camera, ignoring his brother’s arguing, for now. It had been hard enough to convince them to take a picture together, but if he didn’t do it, no one did and Tech liked having pictures. Memories. It was always such a hassle, but it was worth it.
Now, he managed to convince them to take their first group picture with their new armor and ship, already not looking so new. It didn’t matter, it would still be a good memory. If they ever stopped squabbling, that’s it.
“I’m all set up,” Tech announced, turning back to find that Crosshair, somehow, had drawn a moustache on Hunter with a sharpie. And Wrecker had, somehow, acquired Lula in the 10 seconds Tech hadn’t looked at him. Unbelievable
“I thought Hunter wanted a cool picture.”
Crosshair only grinned. “I think he looks really dapper.”
Hunter was trying to furiously get the sharpie off. “You better not not close your eyes tonight!”
Tech dug through his pouches until he found a rag and some cleaner. Was it the best for the skin? Probably not. Had they used worse? Definitely.
He pressed it into Hunter’s hand, then snatched the sharpie from Crosshair and Lula from Wrecker.
“Hey! This is a family picture so she gets to be on it too!”
“She can take the picture,” Tech sighed and placed her beside the holo camera. When he turned around, Crosshair and Hunter were both holding cigarettes.
“What are you doing now?!”
“Hunter wants to look cool! Cigarettes are cool!” Crosshair grinned.
“They are not. They are bad for your health and can decrease your life span significantly. They are-”
“We are not doing that!” Hunter stopped him, tugging him closer. “Now let’s do this before someone files a missing person’s report for us because we took so long.”
Tech sighed, waited for everyone to take their pose and pressed the button to take the picture. When he was done, he snatched the cigarette out of Crosshair’s hand and took a long drag.
“Hey!” Crosshair complained, trying and failing to get it back. “I thought you said smoking is bad for you!”
“And can decrease your life span,” Hunter added with a grin.
“Good,” Tech said. “Then I don’t have to deal with you guys for as long.”
Crosshair and Hunter gasped in mock offence.
