Summary
On hiatus while I figure out some shit for the plot.
The Fourth Shinobi War has ended, and an unexpected peace has existed between the major powers for the last four years. In Konoha, many reforms have been made, and Naruto has finally taken the mantle of Hokage. Their strongest ally remains Suna under the steady and strong leadership of their Kazekage Gaara. The pair of Kage have conspired to share resources, and Sakura is sent on a long-term assignment to Suna in hopes that getting outside her village will help her heal from the war.
The shinobi world may have been at peace, but many of the soldiers who fought are still recovering. Sakura, among them, has many ghosts that remain unburied. Knowing she needs a change of scenery, Sakura agrees and heads to Suna. There in the desert village, the Kazekage, who has secretly harbored affection and cared for her well-being over the years despite their distance, finds his home under attack and tragedy befalling him. The two of them, still fighting their own personal demons from the past, are forced to work together to overcome the struggles placed before them and come to know each other in ways neither could have ever imagined.
