Summary
Rafael Barba isn’t built for Manhattan’s hottest summer on record. So one Saturday morning, he ditches his obligations and the city. Wanting to avoid crowds of tourists, he heads for Staten Island’s South Beach and the cooling waters of the Atlantic. It’s supposed to be a respite from the heat and his responsibilities. Instead, his outing turns perilous and it takes a rescue by a very handsome lifeguard to turn his day (and perhaps the rest of his life) into something unforgettable.
