Chapter Text
Living in a small town in the middle of nowhere has it's perks but I'd say it has more cons then perks. My names Charlie and this is my story.
I get picked on from time to time because of how I look and dress but I try to not let it get to me. They call me "boygirl", since my town is painfully small everyone knows everyone.
I walk my usual path to school, my long light brown hair swinging behind me. I styled it like I usually do, with straight bangs and two pieces pulled infront my ears, finishing it off with a large pink bow on the back of my head. I'm wearing my usual bootcut grey pants and white short sleeved button up.
A bike speeds past me, almost hitting me in the process. I quickly look up to see who it is, oh of course...Levi. "Oops! Sorry about that!" He had turned his head back to look at me, a foolish smile plastered on his face as he laughs at me before speeding off. Levi is the classic bad boy type, he gets into trouble constantly. I don't get what the girls see in him really. His hair is dark and unruly, his curls lay all over the place. He's constantly covered in scratches and bandaids.
I make it to school shortly after, I see his blue bike laying on the ground by the school entrance, stupid boys. Once I enter the school I head straight for my locker, seeing in the corner of my eye Levi and his friends laughing, I can't help but stare. He looks up taking notice of me, he smiles stupidly and waves at me. I slam my locker shut and walk away. Why does he pretend to be a good guy?
I sigh as I finally sit down in class, I have math class, I know right? First class on a Monday, at 08:15 in the morning? Twenty minutes into the lesson the door opens, I look over at who I assume would be Levi. "Sorry I'm late!" Levi runs into the classroom looking out of breath with a new injury on his face. The teacher signs as Levi takes a seat in the back row. "How come you're late this time Levi? You were here earlier this morning." The teacher looks tired, this isn't the first time this has happened, no far from it, this is the usual. "I just ran into some trouble on the way here! Don't mind me just continue with your lesson, teach!" He's smiling big, like always, that godforsaken smile. "Kids these days..." The teacher reluctantly turns around and continues to write on the black board.
The bell rings, I gather my stuff as usual and head to my next class. Levi has this class to but he walks the opposite way, what's he up to? Oh well it has nothing to do with me...okay maybe just this once I'll go see what he's up to. Since curiously got the better of me I follow him, he turns into an empty classroom, it's the art room, no one has art as their second lesson so why? After a while I hear noise coming from inside the classroom and I decide to peak the door open just a bit so I can see. Levi's beating some kid up, it's Micheal. Ah fuck I don't wanna be next I better go tell a teacher. I must have made a noise when I saw them because Levi turns his head to look at me, we lock eyes, I freeze. Fuck it I'm in it now.
I walk over to them and pull Levi off Micheal. "What is this?" I ask sternly looking at Levi then at Micheal, who sits up straight. "Levi-" Levi slaps a hand over Michael's mouth when he starts to speak. "It was just a misunderstanding, so don't worry your pretty head about it Pinky." He flashes his stupid grin at me. "Both of you up now, I'm taking you to the principals office." Levi laughs as he stands up, brushing off his shirt for whatever reason, it's dirty either way. Why is it never fully buttoned up? His tie is also just hanging loosely, why do we even have dress codes? "Just keep it between us alright, princess?" He slips some crumbled up money into the small pocket on my chest and walks away. As he walks out the door he leans back and throws up a peace sign, sticking his tongue out before walking off. Oh! He just has a way of getting on my nerves that guy! After cleaning up their mess Micheal asks me if I want to have lunch with him but I politely decline since I already have plans for today. Finally at lunch I walk over to his old vending machine that I'm almost certain no one else hut me uses. It's in this odd corner of the school that's just a small hallway that leads to nothing but of course the vending machine. I think about the crumpled up money in my breast pocket but decide against it and use my own money, pressing the button to my favorite drink. Cherry cola, it's the only place in this small town I can get this stuff, it's my all time favorite! I don't know what I'd do without my daily cherry cola, there's nothing else quite like it. The rest of the day blurs together and before I know it schools over again.
