This turned out to be a slow burner—wasn’t the plan, but here we are. It’s sci-fi with a touch of mystery, dry humor, and a heavy dose of dialogue. Story and character come first. There’s some sexuality, some violence, and a lot of character building (we can all improve, right?). If you’re into immersive scenes, flawed people, and glitchy emotional beats, welcome aboard.
A small-town detective, frustrated by a string of missing residents and a total lack of leads, thinks he’s finally caught a break when a tip sends him to an evening dinner party. There, he meets a charming woman—but to his disappointment, he leaves the party empty-handed and no closer to solving the case.
On his way home—or so he thought—he’s nearly struck by a falling corpse. As he stops to investigate, a mysterious creature appears, wearing what looks like the shredded remains of a burgundy evening gown. The creature takes the body and disappears into the night leaving the detective in a befuddled state.
Once again, the detective is left empty-handed... and with even more questions than before.
