Chapter Text

It was a normal day for Pizza. She had just gotten back from a delivery when two orders popped up in the system. She brings the ordering screen closer to check them out.

She looks over the payment and confirms that it'll be delivered. Everything seemed normal until. . .

"Eh-"

MALA SAUCE TRIBE, DRAGON'S VALLEY]

. . . She stayed silent for a moment, looking at the cookies in the kitchen that appeared to have a similar flabbergasted look. She just sighs, having a vague hint of who the hell ordered these. She gives a sympathetic look to the poor cooks who have to make these pizzas.

It took 30 minutes to even get it finished, and normally, she would be snippy at the timing, but she can't even be mad at them. The Hot Pizza slides out, the smell of capsaicin and chili sauce filling the kitchen. They had to get another delivery girl to go out and buy a few specialty bottles of Carolina Reaper hot sauce, and having to dump them all onto these pizzas. Such a shame. . . For their noses and eyes, of course.

The "Everything" pizza slides out from the oven, with everything from having extra cheese on it, handfuls of pepperoni, sausage, Spanish, bacon- you NAME it, it's probably on this pizza. She needed help from a few other cookies to safely get the pizza in the box, and even that was a struggle because it wouldn't close all the way. After a good 10 minutes of struggling, she managed to haul the heavy pizza onto her bike.

40 minutes wasted on just getting two pizzas wouldn't look good, but again, she can't blame the cooks. She waves them goodbye as she speeds off.

Dragon's Valley was pretty far, but she's sure she'll get there in time- or well, whatever "In Time" is. Some cookies wave at her as she speeds by, but she doesn't have time for small talk at the moment.

Past the city's gates and down the beaten road she goes; it's a shock she hadn't been caught speeding already. Or maybe the police just know it's her- either way, she doesn't pay much mind to it. Her bike picks up dust in its wake as she speeds down the rocky roads, glancing at her gas tank every once and a while. She's glad she keeps a spare gas canister in the back, or she'd be stranded. . .

She clicks on her music to let the time mellow out around her. She's so glad she has this; she doesn't know what she'd do without her music. . .

What feels like hours go by as she wizzes by the HollyBerry Kingdom, seeing the castle and other instructors go by in her peripheral vision, and soon, she feels the temperature around her heat up. Trees similar to palms start to come into view as the roads get more rocky and red. Pizza has to swerve away from lava pools in the ground to avoid hurting the bike and herself. Mountains and volcanoes erupting with molten magma were in the distance as the heat made her sweat. Finally, though, she came to a stop once she noticed her tank was almost empty by this point.

Pizza whips her forehead, looking back at the delivery notes.

She really didn't want to. . . Nevertheless, she huffs.

"I can't believe I'm going to do this. . . UM- SOUR WILL RULE THE WORLD!?"

She screams as loud as she can, hurting her throat a little in the process. She sighs once again, looking around to see if it worked. If it didn't, she'd be pretty embarrassed-

Out of the bushes popped a little green jellysaur, tail wagging as it smells the pizza she has and, not long after, some spikey blue hair comes running out.

"Ey! You actually got here!"

Dino-Sour says, a toothy smile on his face as he takes the Everything pizza from her hands and opens it. She sighed, happy it's not in her hands as she watches him drop to the floor with it, grabbing a slice with both hands and devouring it. Pizza didn't want to judge, but what. . .

"This is AMAZING! And the cheese is still soft- here's a tip!"

The tiny jellysaur, with its little mouth, grabs a coin bag from Dino-Sour's pocket and hands it over to Pizza.

"Thanks. . ."

She takes her phone out to take a quick snap of the fact that she managed to deliver the pizza. Dino-Sour takes the box, waves goodbye, and runs off with the jellysaur. Pizza stares blankly for a moment before grabbing the gas canister, filling her tank up again. She can check how much they tipped later, and she has to give the Mala Sauce tribe their pizza, which was making her eyes water a little.

And off she goes!

Down a hill and past lava lakes, she travels. As the smell of spice fills the air, she can tell she's getting closer. Down some roads, past bridges, and lakes filled with water, she can only hope they won't kill her if she falls in. The sky was beginning to darken, shades of purples and pinks fading in, stars in their wake as she finally made it. Before she can even cross one of the many wooden paths the tribe has built, a small but very strong cookie comes up to her.

Mala Sauce cookie approaches with a smile.

"Hey! You must be the pizza girl!"

"Yup, that's me."

She hands Mala Sauce the pizzas as she opens it, staring at the pepperoni pizzas, doused in the hottest sauce they could find. She tastes the hot sauce.

"Whoah! Where'd you get this!"

"Uhh, well, the girl who got it said it's from this little shop in the city. Er, she said it's run by someone called. . . Shoot, I forgot who, but she said they're a Scovilla student?-"

"No wonder it's hot! You got some guts, actually comin' out here! EY! GIVE THIS LASS A GOOD TIP!"

Mala Sauce yells out to someone as she takes the five pizzas from her. Not long after, a cookie comes over to hand Pizza a coin bag, larger and heavier than the one Dino-Sour gave.

"You seem spent! Why don't you take a break here? We have refreshments!"

Pizza already knew accepting any food from a spice cookie was a bad idea, so she politely declined, quickly getting back on her bike and driving off. She needed to study anyway. As she drove off, she checked how much the two cookies tipped.

Dino-Sour: About nine silver coins and 10 golden ones.

Mala Sauce: . . . 100 golden coins.

. . .

Okay, maybe this was worth it.

Notes:

How I think of the currency
1 silver is equivalent to like 10 cents
1 golden is like a dollar
