Summary
Lily Evans had never been the sort of person who would place the blame for her misfortunes on others. Her sister, Petunia, had spent their younger years blaming her frequently poor moods on Lily. Her mother had always blamed their father for stealing away her attractive and carefree youth. And Lily’s best friend, Mary, was always blaming the weather, or small personal emergencies, on the fact that she was late to everything.
But Lily had never been like that. She took responsibility for the circumstances that she found herself in.
Though that had been the case until she found herself in a circumstance that meant taking frequent trips to visit Narcissa Malfoy in the home she shared with her husband. For that, Lily found herself blaming anyone she could.
