Jax POV:
He was in Caine’s body. He was in Caine's body. He laughs and shakes his head.
Jax: “I didn't even do anything and I can do whatever I want!”
Caine POV:
He's a purple rabbit and he has a tail.
Caine: “I'm in so much pain right now and I feel like I haven't slept in years.”
Caine runs over to Jax in his new body.
Caine: “Why did you do this? This isn't funny, Jax!”
The new ringmaster laughs.
Jax: “No, it is funny. You look terrible.”
Jax continues laughing at Caine.
Caine: “Stop laughing!”
Jax: “No, I'm in charge now. You need to listen to me.”
Caine: “No you're not! I'm still the-”
Caine snaps his fingers. Oh no. No, no, no, no! This isn't happening. This can't be happening!
Jax: “Go put centipedes in Ragatha's closet.”
He snaps his fingers and his old rabbit body is teleported upstairs. Caine leaves a handful of centipedes in Ragatha's closet and goes out into the hall.
He watches the ragdoll go into her room and hears her scream a few seconds later. He laughs.
He didn't think it'd be funny, but he understands why Jax enjoys pranking the others so much.
Jax snaps his fingers and the other members appear in front of him.
Zooble: “I'm not going to be apart of thi-”
Jax snaps his fingers and the floor under the circus cast’s feet disappears.
Jax: “Bye. Have fun on your adventure!”
Zooble, Gangle, Ragatha, Pomni, Kinger, & Caine: “AAAAAHHHHHHH!”
They land on top of each other when they get to their new adventure.
Zooble: “Ow.”
Ragatha: “Is everyone okay?”
Gangle, Kinger, Pomni, & Zooble: “Yeah, we're okay.”
Caine stands up and gets off of everyone else.
What does Jax say again? Oh yeah!
Caine: “I'm not.”
Pomni gets up and stands next to him.
Pomni: “What do you think the adventure’s going to be?”
Caine: “I don't know.”
He looks down at his hands that are covered by yellow gloves. He forgot how tall Jax was. Pomni looks so small now that he's in his body.
A loud voice breaks Caine out of his thoughts. The group looks up at their ringmaster who's floating in the sky.
Jax: “In this adventure, you'll have to work together and save a town from an evil king!”
Ragatha: “That's it?”
Jax: “Yep. Good luck!”
Jax disappears in front of the other members and watches them with Caine's hundreds of all-seeing eyes in a different spot.
Most of the eyes are watching Pomni and the rest are watching the others.
He feels like he should use Caine's powers to protect her from the evil king NPC, the king's army, and the traps that he added into the adventure.
He doesn't know why he put the traps in there. He'd normally do it because it's funny. But now he doesn't think it was a good idea.
Why is this so hard? I thought this was going to be fun. But I don't want to hurt her.
Pomni stops and looks down at the darkness in front of her. She just has to jump and then she can get to the kingdom. Her legs start shaking and she can't move them. She's too scared.
What if I fall and I don't come back?
She hears a loud POP and a bridge appears in front of her.
What the heck is this?
Pomni stares at the bridge and looks up. She doesn't see Caine, but she knows that he was the one that did this.
She walks across the new bridge and continues walking towards the castle.
Jax sighs.
She made it. Now, how are the others doing?
He uses his other floating eyes to watch the other members. They were in the castle and he saw that the group was trying to talk with the king.
But the king wasn't listening to them and told his soldiers to attack them. Jax snapped his fingers and magic swords appeared in their hands.
Ragatha, Zooble, and Kinger stabbed the soldiers with their new weapons.
Ragatha: “This is really fun!”
Zooble: “Yeah, I like this one.”
Kinger: “I see Pomni!”
The chess piece points to the jester that's running towards them with a sword in her left hand.
Pomni: “Hey guys!”
Ragatha: “Pomni, you made it!”
Pomni: “I got a little lost back there. What's happening here?”
Ragatha: “We tried to talk to the king but it didn't go well. Now we're fighting his soldiers.”
A soldier runs towards Pomni and she chops his head off with her sword. Caine stabs a few soldiers in the chest and cuts a fourth one into two pieces.
Caine: “Haha, yeah!”
He laughs manically and has a big bright smile on his (Jax's) face. Everyone was having a good time.
But Jax wasn't. He was sad and he started hearing voices in his head.
You're just a weak cartoon character. You're not real. You can't go back. Your mask can't save you. They don't love you. They love her. They love Pomni and they all hate you. YOU'RE JUST A LONELY LITTLE BUNNY.
He snapped his fingers and the adventure ended. The other members stood still in the main room. They watched Jax and the tent shake and glitch violently.
He screamed loudly. Then, the glitching and shaking stopped. He left the room and sat down on the grass outside with his knees to his chest.
Moon: “Hello, Jax.”
Jax looks up at her.
Jax: “H-how do you know that-”
Moon: “Sun and I are connected to the circus. We know when you and the others are upset. Do you want to talk about it?”
Jax: “I just- I wish I could just be like them without feeling like I'll make their lives worse. Are we cartoon characters or are we just people?”
Moon: “What do you think?”
She knew the answer to his question, but she wanted him to tell her what he thought.
Jax: “We're people and I'm scared of losing them. I don't want them to end up like Ribbit and Kaufmo. But I ruin everything for everyone and no one wants to be friends with someone like me.”
Moon: “Hey. It's gonna be okay, Jax.”
Jax: “It's not, it never was and it never will be.”
Moon: “Bunny-”
Jax starts crying and digital tears fall from his (Caine's) eyes.
