Chapter Text
It was after Bella was brought home after Edward had left her in the woods and Sam had found her. Bella was caught in a funk because of what had happened with Edward, of course she had gotten rid of everything that was ever given to her by the Cullens themselves and she even ripped out the radio to her truck it was such a bad day and its not like anything could be even worse. Well Bella was wrong, it did get worse because like an idiot she had went back to the meadow that her and Edward would go to just so she could burn the stuff he had given her. Laurent was there, Bella took a step back as she stared at the Nomad Vampire she met months before but Laurent took a step closer to her each time she took a step back.
"Oh what a wonderful surprise." Laurent spoke as he and Bella circled each other, the teenage girl knew how the vampires could be destroyed but she was by herself. "I thought I should warn you, Victoria is angry your mate had killed hers so she wants revenge." it wasn't hard to know that the red head vampire would want Bella killed but what was the worse that could happen even now as she heard...growling? she had a look of confusion on her face because she knows that Laurent wasn't the one who had growled. it wasn't until a black furred wolf had stepped out of the woods with other wolves, but these wolves were huge! Bigger than any other wolf pack that Bella had seen before even as the black furred wolf just stared at her for a moment as the other three wolves ran after Laurent. Bella did not know what to do even now as the black furred wolf ran off to catch up with the others, so she ran off back towards her truck that she had gotten.
'Sam what the hell was that about?' Jacob spoke through the pack mind after they had ripped Laurent to shreds and Jared had phased out just to burn the Laurents body before they all left the area. even Paul had looked at Sam like something had happened, no one knew this would happened not even Sam.
'Jacob just leave it be. I have to talk to the Chief about what just happened.' Sam replied before lifting his head up as he heard Bella's truck start and she was pulling away from where she had parked even if he felt the need to follow he didn't want to seem like a stalker. Yet here he was at the Swan's residence watching at the edge of the woods behind the house as Bella just sat in her room and did her homework. The smell of leech was all he could smell even if it's been about two or three months ago, it was bothering his nose as he started to track the scent. Sam could pick up the Cullen's scent but there was another, one that Sam or the pack hasn't smelled before that was bothering him. The sane option to do would be to leave but how could Sam just leave Bella when there was another scent in the area. Which was how Sam had phased back to human before throwing on his Jean shorts he had tied around his ankle before he had shifted and walked up the porch steps.
Once Sam rang the doorbell Charlie had answered and looked at Sam confused before he looked around to see if someone had dropped him off.
"Uley? what are you doing here?" Charlie asked as he crossed his arms before Sam could answer Bella came down the stairs to see who it was and with how her dad was talking to him she spoke up.
"I asked Jacob if he could send Sam over so he can fix my window." She lied as she met Sam's eyes before looking back at her father who just grunted and let Sam in before shouted something about keeping the bedroom door open which will be kept open because who would be stupid enough to close the door in the sheriff's house? Bella didn't close her door all the way but she kept it opened a crack.
"Why are you here?" Bella asked as she looked at Sam as if wondering what his intentions were before Sam started to move around her room as if looking for something. The moment he had lifted the two floorboards up that even Bella didn't know about he had made a face, two sweatshirts and a shirt were there.
"Well that explains the smell..." Sam muttered as he looked over the contents which Bella had took from him and tossed them into her trash and looked pissed off about the fact those items were there. "Did you not know about those?" he asked as he started to move around her room again checking the two windows that were in her room. Only one of the latches for the window closet to her bed was broken, like someone had been coming in at night.
"Edward he...he uh used to watch me sleep and no I didn't know about those items until now." Bella answered as she looked at the trash can before shaking her head and sighing before she sat down on her bed. Sam looked as if he was trying to fix her latch or seeing if there was another scent on the windowsill but there was that acidic smell that was outside as well. Sam didn't enjoy the thought of Edward coming into Bella's room even if Bella knew that Edward would come into her room at night to watch her sleep it was weird and it was wrong because Bella was *his*. He blinked at the thought that in his mind, or well to his wolf that he thought Bella was his, which made Sam even more confused as he didn't want to think of the fact he had imprinted on Bella.
