Chapter 1: 0: Go now, saviors!|Siffrin
Chapter Text
Siffrin hoped for the new journey with his friends to be a peaceful one.
Which, obviously, ment it wouldn't, because The Universe LOATHED him!!!
Bonnie was giving everyone snacks, because of course they were! Bonnie, lord of snacks!
"Okay! We've got... Uh... Gyo... Gyoza's???" Bonnie started.
"Gyoza's???" Isabeau questioned.
"Ka Buen dumplings" Odile explained. "I taught Boniface to make them."
"Next we got! uh... Salad with croutons!!!" Nille perked up at that.
"And! Malanga fritters!!!" Siffrin jolted up at that, nearly falling out his seat.
"I'll take uh... The salad." Mirabelle started.
"Me too." Nille said with a smile.
"Well Boniface, I'll take the Gyoza's." Odile spoke.
"Me to." Isabeau said with a smile.
"Fritters." Siffrin said immediately.
Bonnie nodded and handed Siffrin the fritters.
Siffrin took a excited bite out the malanga fritters in his hand.
Spicy!
Bonnie remembered the peppers!
"Siffrin, slow down, you're gonna choke-" Mirabelle said warily, a smile on her face.
"It's malanga fritters, Mirabelle. A culinary masterpiece." Odile said jokingly, a smirk on her face.
Isabeau laughed. Nille chuckled to herself.
"Bullying. I'm being bullied. Bonnie, protect me!!!" Siffrin exclaimed with a stuck out tongue, pretending to hide behind the nearly 12 year old.
"HUH???!!! Frin!!! No!!!" Bonnie rolled their eyes.
Then, a scent hit their nose.
Burnt sugar.
Siffrin nearly threw up at the smell, or maybe it was a tug on his stomach, like-
NonononnononNONONONO NOT AGAIN NOT-
Wait...
No.
Couldnt be.
Even a year later, he's still somehow craft-sick.
"Well. Ignoring the current breakdown, I trust you're having a good morning, Saviors." Spoke a voice. cheerful and warm, like a summer tide.
"Who are you???" Odile questioned, raising a hand incase she needed to use a craft.
"A- are you... the change god???" Mirabelle questioned.
The change god spoke in a high pitched always changing voice, definitely not the change god.
"Of course not!!! Gross!!! Well- no offense to your religion, of course." The voice strangely had sounded offended at the comparison.
"See, Change is a construct made to shame you if you're imperfect, saviors, You need not be changing to be good, damn the hands which try to dirty you for finding solace in the same routine."
"Then... Who are you???" Isabeau asked.
"I am creation, imperfect yet divine, like the bright one, for a example!!!"
Siffrin felt sick at the nickname.
Bright one???
The only person who'd called him that was the king and... Wait.
Divine???
"What does Siffrin have to do with this???" Nille asked as she stepped infront of Bonnie defensively.
The voice laughed.
"Born from starlight, he, half divine, with his closest companions, must return to his homeland and face a false god. On that day, you, Siffrin, bright one, you shall abandon the hiraeth plaguing you"
Everyone turned to Siffrin.
They
...
looked
...
scared???
No!!!
No he didn't want them scared!!! Not of him, things were okay things were-
"ANYWAY!!! Back on topic!!! Now go, saviors, hurry to the land in which the bright one was born and meet-"
Silence.
"HELLO???!!! MEET WHO???!!!" Siffrin snapped.
"Siffrin-" Mirabelle piped up.
"ANSWER ME!!!"
Isabeau tried. "Sif-"
"HELLO???!!!"
Bonnie finally screamed. "FRIN!!!"
Siffrin jolted and turned to his family actors.
"Who was that??? What were they talking about???" Mirabelle asked.
"I dont know I dont know IdontknowIdontknowIdontknowIDONTKNOWIDONT-"
"Sif!!! Breath." Isabeau walked towards them.
Siffrin didn't even realize he was hyperventilating. Shakily, they tried to self sooth.
In

"Are you okay???" Nille asked.
"... Yeah... 'M okay..." Siffrin said shakily.
"What just happened???" Bonnie asked, confused.
"I dont know..." Odile murmured.
That...
Was a first.
Usually Odile had a guess immediately.
"Siffrin... What did the voice mean by..." Nille didn't need to finish her sentence, Siffrin could make the inference.
"Frin's like- Like a god thingy!!! Like the change god!!! But not a god!!! Like... Half god! Like the character from Nille's weird story game she plays with Dile and Belle!!!"
"A demigod, Boniface." Odile explained.
"Oh."
"Also Battles And Bonds is NOT weird, get it right!" Nille scolded her sibling.
Siffrin stepped away from everyone.
"A demigod?! Sif, that's..."
Disgusting disgusting disgusting disgusting-
"Actually super cool!!!" Isabeau finished, smiling.
What...???
No!!! It's not cool!!! It's sick, gross, disgusting, like them, it's not-
"Frin's like a mini change god!!!"
"Intriguing." Odile said with a smirk, but she dropped it, glaring at nothing for a moment.
"Though, if my theory is correct, that could be partially apart of the reason the time loops occurred. Siffrin knew the proper ritual, and divinity runs through his veins. It makes sense the wish would come true due to those two factors, piled with all the other wishes of the people of Vauguarde wishing to be saved... The loops begin." Odile offered.
"Hold on. Time loops???" Nille questioned.
Siffrin squeaked out of purely being startled.
SHE DIDNT KNOW???!!!???
"Okay, we'll explain later, yes time loops. BUT!!! We have a mission!!!" Mirabelle exclaimed, but she looked stressed at the idea of another mission to save the world.
"Right!!! Siffrin's birth place, do we know where that is???" Isabeau questioned.
Everyone shook their heads, including Siffrin.
"How do you not know your own birth place???" Nille asked curiously.
"I know where it is, if it counts??? It's uh... Uh. North of Vauguarde, it's a island???" Siffrin offered.
"Not helping." Nille said with a sigh.
"But that is helpful. A approximate location helps narrow us down on where we need to go!!!" Isabeau explained.
"Isabeau's correct, Petronille." Odile stated.
"So. We go to the north of Vauguarde, find a island, stop a false god???" Mirabelle summarized confusedly.
"What's up with this false god thing???" Isabeau questioned.
"yeah! That's weird. How can somebody be a false god??? Is it like... A true or false question box???" Bonnie asked.
Against their will, a laugh escaped Siffrin's lips.
"Alright! We should finish eating then and I guess get a lot of rest." Mirabelle told everyone.
So, they did.
Bonnie, Mirabelle, and Nille shared, Odile was on her own, and Siffrin and Isabeau were together.
Siffrin snuck out the sleeping bag and walked outside, staring up at the stars.
He didn't want this. Not at all.
They just wanted it to be over.

Chapter Text
2 months ago, someone spoke to everyone, claiming they were a god, and that Siffrin was a demigod which needed to take down a 'False God', much to the dismay of the whole party.
So, they began to travel North Of Vauguarde, where Siffrin's supposed home was.
They were on a strangely large boat Petronille rented out and they could see land on the horizon.
See, Siffrin was supposed to be on watch duty that night, but he was so excited-and terrified, if Odile was correct in her suspicions, to go home, that they were asleep within minutes.
And, being the eldest, and definitely not because she didn't want to wake the others up, she took over.
As she stared at the island on the horizon, it was almost as if it moved away the closer they got, but that wasn't possible, to her knowledge.
Odile mulled over what she knew about Siffrin's home.
- They believe in gods cumulated into a collective entity or group called "The Universe" and one of said gods spoke to them. Siffrin said he could recall a few names, but not all of them
- Callisto
- Cassandra-Who Siffrin believes was the one who spoke to them, they are unsure
- Clytemnestra
- Icarus
- The Country north of Vauguarde was forgotten, but it was more than a memory wipe, It seemed as if the memory remains, but it could not be accessed.
- Attempting to remember or speak it's language used to cause migraines, however recently, Siffrin has been able to say things to them in his language, even if they didn't understand most of the words.
- There apparently exist stories tied to constellations only visible from the country.
- Common phrase "The Universe Leads, we follow", what it means seems unknown, even to Siffrin.
- There's a ritual similar to bonding earrings Siffrin told them of, but didn't have the time to fully explain.
Odile hummed and grabbed volume 4 of 'The Cursing of Château Castle'-Mirabelle had bribed her to read the series, and she had to admit, it was okay.
She carefully opened the book to the page she left off on and began to read when-
She left this in the cabins below the ship, did she not???
Odile set the book down and looked around.
Nothing.
She was probably being crazy, she must've just forgot she grabbed it.
After a moment, she lowered her guard and picked the book back up, opening it again and reading.
She didn't know when she fell asleep, but she did, because she was dreaming and she was suddenly in the middle of nowhere.
Her eyes trained on the space around her, a library, a peaceful place, yet her whole body ached.
She was old, sure, but her body shouldn't be aching this bad. She had a body in great physical condition
Odile began walking forward.
Each step, she felt... Weaker, her feet burnt as if she was walking on magma.
She continued walking until she physically couldn't, and she collapsed.
The researcher opened her eyes to see something in the middle of the library.
After a moment of confusion, Odile realized she was at the foot of a statue. She shakily trailed her fingers over the text.
Καλλιστώ
If Siffrin was here he could translate for her...
She paused, suddenly recognizing that word.
Callisto...???
"Oh!!! A visitor???" Asked a curious voice, cutting her thoughts off. "And from outside as well??? How intriguing!!!"
She turned and was met with the sight of a man with black eyes, white hair just like Siffrin's, circle glasses with stars where the circle met the line to hold it on his ears, 4 pointed star motifs all over his clothes, and a gentle expression. He held a book titled 'History of Constellations'.
He walked towards her and gently took her hand, helping her up.
Odile felt... confused. Her legs no longer hurt, they felt... fine, better, even.
"My name is Callisto, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. You must be one of the bright one's companions. The researcher, Sachiko Odile Aiuchi, was it?"
Odile was startled he knew her full name, but if he was who he said he was, then he was apparently a divine being.
"... Yes..." Odile said cautiously.
"Perfect!!! Perfect!!! Just the one I hoped I'd get!!!" Callisto smiled.
"TELEGONUS! Put this up for me, if you'd be so kind, it goes on the 'History' shelf and should be right at the end of the shelf third row." Callisto called.
A small glowing figure, as if they were a star-but less in the Loop sense and more in a "I glow but I'm not a actual star" way, with fluffy looking hair nodded and took the book, rushing to put it up with a squeak.
Odile never took her eyes off Callisto, gaze cold and full of distrust.
"I'm sure you'd like a answer to a question you have." Callisto said calmly.
"Pardon???" Odile raised her eyebrow.
"A question. You must have one, about me, about the island, about this place, about anything???"
"Yes, but-"
"I'll answer one, free of charge."
"What's the catch, I'm not a fool" Odile said with a scoff.
"What's made you so distrusting, Odile???" Callisto asked.
"That- That is none of your concern!!!"
"It's okay, I understand." Callisto stared at her with a smile.
But it lasted a uncomfortably long amount of time.
And then her head began to hurt, she wanted to scream, she-
It stopped.
"Oh, I see!!! yes, yes, your curious about the island's disappearance??? That's something I cannot answer, but your other question however, that is something I ca-"
Odile used a craft on him.
It didn't seem to hurt him, it just startled him.
"Well, that was very rude. I apologize, I imagine prying through your mind was painful, I should have asked." Callisto said with a hum.
"You're curious about this place, no???" He questioned.
"I suppose so, yes..." Odile said with a sigh.
"Well!!!! This is the Cassiopeia Library. It's where we store all the knowledge of the forgotten country and it's people."
"How come it was forgotten???" Odile questioned.
"I answered your one question, I dont owe you another answer." Callisto said calmly,
"But, if you're so curious, Look on the 'Miscellaneous' shelf when you come by next, I'm afraid we're out of time."
"Excuse me???" Odile raised a eyebrow.
"Telemachus, darling!!! Fetch me the cloth, please, I need to clean the shelves!!!" Callisto exclaimed.
Another one of the glowing star things walked over with a a cloth and spray bottle.
Callisto took it with a smile.
Telemachus turned to Odile and squeaked at her, waving.
"... Hello...???" Odile greeted in confusion. "Also what do you mean our time is up??? You've barely explained anything and I dont-"
The noise of screaming caught her mind,
"DILE!!!" The voice of Bonnie screamed, and Odile woke up to see Bonnie infront of her.
"We reached land but Nille said we aren't going until we all eat breakfast. C'mon!!! I worked hard and I wanna go touch the sand!!! It's black, Dile!!!"
"Oh. Right..." Odile got up and walked over to the others who were already eating.
"Good morning Madame Odile!!!" Mirabelle greeted.
"Hi M'dame Odile." Isabeau greeted, mouth full of food.
"Dont talk with your mouth full-" Nille told the fighter. "It's gross."
Siffrin smiled.
"Well it's-" Isabeau swallowed his food. "Well it'd be rude not to greet her thought, wouldn't it?"
"Well, fair."
Odile sat next to the others and took some of the food Bonnie and Nille left out.
But she couldn't get her mind off of whatever just happened.
Notes:
Meet Callisto! He's one of the gods apart of the universe! He represents wit and wisdom and he likes books. Telemachus and Telegonus are his assistants!
The Tele's dont speak actual languages so they just squeak at Odile bcus that's how they communciate.

Chapter Text
The second they got off the boat, it exploded.
No kidding.
It started raining and lightning struck their boat, trapping them on the island.
"CRAB!!!" Nille screamed.
"Gems alive..." Odile sighed.
Bonnie was to focused on the sand to actually care, running around and grabbing stuff.
Mirabelle tried to scavenge what she could before they all began walking.
"OO!!! OO!!! Za'!!! Belle!!! Dile!!! Frin!!! Nille!!! Look!!!" Bonnie picked up a sea shell.
Isabeau walked over and kneeled beside them. "What is it???" Isabeau asked, eyes training on the seashell as he tried to identify the type.
It was a REALLY long shell, like so long Bonnie struggled to hold it. It was probably double their size. It seemed... what... maybe 115 cm long? It looked sort of fragile and had some weird silk-like substance on it.
"Drop it!!!" Siffrin said way to quickly, looking almost scared of them touching it.
Everyone turned to him.
"It's a noble pen shell!!! They're endangered so they aren't supposed to be picked up!!! They're protected by Icarus!!!"
"that's... odd." Odile hummed, staring at the shell.
Bonnie frowned and set down the shell. "But I can collect other shells?"
"Yeah." Siffrin smiled.
They began to walk across the beach and onto the grass, hopping over the fallen logs and branches, taking breaks to gaze at the animals.
"Is that..." Mirabelle pointed at something.
"A deer..." Isabeau whispered, eyes practically sparkling.
It was, in fact, a deer. A large deer with a long tail, a four-chambered stomach, roughly 213 cm from antlers to hooves, with large antlers and fluff on it's neck.
Nille stepped closer carefully, but Bonnie rushed over, stepping on a branch.
The deer rushed off at the noise.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Mirabelle whined. "COME BACK!!!"
Odile blinked. "What's so intriguing about a deer???" She questioned.
"Yeah, they were super common here, but I think a lot of poaching happened, so now they're under protection by Icarus." Siffrin explained. "They're called Red deer. I don't know what a red is, but it's a cool name."
'Icarus protected a lot of endangered things, seems like a cool guy' Isabeau thought.
"We dont see deer a lot, they're native to more of the middle of Vauguarde rather than Bambouche." Nille explained.
"I've never seen one, like, ever, at least in person." Isabeau commented.
"I saw them a lot in the outskirts of Dormont, this one time, I fell asleep in the middle of a book underneath a tree and woke up to a deer all curled in my lap. It was really heavy..." Mirabelle murmured that last bit.
"WHAT???!!!" Bonnie looked super awe struck and excited. "Belle, you cuddled a deer???!!!"
"Hehe, yeah, it sounds cooler when you put it that way." Mirabelle smiled gently.
"That's very out of nature for deer... They're very skittish animals." Odile commented.
"GASP!!!" Bonnie said, like, full on spoke the word gasp.
"So Belle's like a princess!!!"
"Vaugaurdian princess Mira!!!" Isabeau laughed.
Mirabelle looked flushed. "wha- Guysssss, nooooooo!!!"
Nille jokingly bowed, Siffrin joined in.
Odile crossed her arms and just stood there.
"Show so respect, M'dame Odile!" Isabeau exclaimed.
Odile rolled her eyes. "okay, okay, funny, yes hardy har har, let's keep going. I have a bad feeling about this place."
They took that as a sign to keep walking.
In the middle of the forest, they set up camp, and everyone was out within minutes.
Isabeau woke up to a battlefield.
The scent of blood caught his nose, weapons trailed the empty space, yet there was no people.
Isabeau was worried.
He got up and walked up to one of the weapons, a blood covered Rapier.
A rapier like...
Isabeau shook off his dread.
He kept moving, fists raised incase he needed to fight and-
That's when he saw it.
Siffrin, or, at least someone who looked like him.
Siffrin turned to their loving partner and stared, a faint smile on his face.
"...Sif???" Isabeau spoke quietly when-
Siffrin lunged.
Isabeau, despite being so strong, despite the months of body craft, couldn't get them off.
"Oh BOO!!! Fighter my butt!!! You can't even defend yourself from your first test!!!" Complained a gritty, annoyed, female voice.
Isabeau blinked but went back to being strangled.
Then, He kicked fake Siffrin away and managed to get them off.
"I stand corrected." The voice commented, entertained.
Isabeau shakily used a craft on fake Siffrin, watching it hit and... Siffrin faded.
"Congratulations Captain crazy~!!! You somehow passed the first test. Like a TRUE warrior!!!"
Isabeau breathed, but couldn't steady himself.
Breathe like Sif does...
Breathe like Sif does...
In
...
and

out
...
In
...
and
...
out
...
"Test two!!!" Exclaimed the voice.
"NO!!!" Isabeau screamed, still startled by what just happened, a hand rubbing at his neck, strangely unbruised.
The voice was so startled the setting around him wavered, and it was revealed he was actually just in a empty field of Wild flowers.
Infront of him stood a REALLY tall woman with masculine black hair and white eyes, blood stained her clothes, which was a armor breast plate, a flowy cape, and a war helmet in between her armpit.
A greatsword was gripped in the woman's hand, not raised, but ready for war.
"Okay. So. Is this a Vaugaurdian thing??? Disrespecting gods???" The woman asked coldly.
"A... god...???" Isabeau questioned, startled.
"The name's Clytemnestra, I suggest you kneel."
Isabeau didn't kneel.
"Okay. Tough willed, wow. Know what? I like you. You get the pass."
Isabeau blinked confusedly at the goddess. "... What???"
"You get my approval to enter the capital. Anyway!!! Tell the demigod I sent greetings."
"WHA-"
Isabeau woke up and looked around for Siffrin. He wasn't here.
The Fighter jolted out of his sleeping bag and rushed out the tent to see...
Siffrin, trying to start a fire, murmuring something in his language which did NOT sound appropriate.
"μαλάκας..." The rogue murmured angrily, scraping a stick and a rock together all mad.
"Sif???"
Siffrin sat up and waved.
"Isa!!!" Siffrin whisper yelled.
"Sif." The Fighter sighed
"Isa." The rogue gestured over.
"Sif..." Isabeau shook his head, looking obviously upset.
"Is... a???" Siffrin looked worried. "Are you okay???"
"No."
"Do you wanna talk about it???"
"Not really. Just a little shaken up. Clytemnestra sent her greetings."
Siffrin yelped.
"She talked to you??? The Universe doesn't do that ever!!!" Siffrin screamed.
"SHUSH!!!" Bonnie yelled from their tent with Nille.
"If M'dame Odile wakes up she'll kill us!!!" They added.
"N... No. She's... on a walk right now so... she's... already awake..." Mirabelle commented quietly, exiting her tent.
Her hair was messy and her bow was all lopsided.
Odile, conveniently, walked back to the camp, holding a book.
"What are you all doing awake???" She asked, arms crossed.
Everyone panicked to explain.
"I talked to some crazy goddess lady!!!"
"Frin and Za' were being LOUD!!!"
"I just was already awake."
"I only woke up because Bon screamed."
Odile sighed. "Go back to sleep."
Everyone let out short "yes mam's" and went back to their tents.
Well, today was a weird first day in Siffrin's home island.
Notes:
I cant believe I spent most of my writing process researching endangered species so I could make Icarus an animal conservationist and he doesn't even APPEAR as the god in Isabeau's dream!!!
Chapter 4: 3:The field of Crocus/Bonnie
Summary:
Bonnie gets lost
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Bonnie ran through the forest of Siffrin's home country, crying loudly.
They were lost.
Nononononononononononono!!!
NO!!!
They didn't wanna be lost in the middle of nowhere on this strange island!!!
They were a strong kid but they were still scared!!!
They kept running, tripping on a log.
Falling to the ground with a loud "oomph" sound, they face planted into the dirt.
Bonnie sat up and reached for their now bloody nose, their whole body covered in scrapes.
Their crying got louder. "NILLE!!! ZA'!!! FRIN!!! BELLE!!! DILE!!! ANYONE???!!!" The child screamed. Their voice was hoarse and they felt their throat burning.
It hurt hurt hurt hurt HURT!!!
They sobbed loudly as they tried to stand, struggling to trudge through the woods when...
They saw it. A bunch of really pretty flowers with barely any visible stem. What were they called...???
Cro... Kus???
Crocus???
Crocus, yeah!!!
Pretty, but, still, ow.
Owowowowowwwwwwwwwwww-
Bonnie tried to trudge through the field without stepping on the flowers when-
They noticed a statue.
Pretty.
Bonnie managed over and tried to read what it said.
Κρόκος
"... Huh...??? What...???" Bonnie tried to decipher it.
After a bit, Bonnie gave up and collapsed infront of the statue, crying.
A soft, honey-like voice giggled and spoke. Bonnie could hear the faint sound of a lute. "Γεια σου παιδί μου."
Huh???
"Er... Hi kid." Spoke the voice.
"...W-Who are you???" Bonnie asked, wiping their nose with their outer hand. They sniffled.
"Just a guide, who could help you reunite with your 'family', so to speak." A man, around 20, walked up to them and kneeled down. Lightless hair, hazy and tired eyes, wings on his ears and back. His clothes were covered in four pointed stars.
"I..." Bonnie looked wary.
"I like your bracelet." The man gestured to the bracelet on Bonnie's arm.
"... Thanks..." Bonnie murmured.
"You like the statue???" He asked, sitting beside the 11 year old.
"... It's okay." Bonnie murmured.
"It's of me, actually. I think Icarus did really well making it." The man hummed.
"... Huh???"
"Oh!!! My name's Crocus, does that help???" The man, revealed to be Crocus, hummed. His wings flicked and wrapped around the kid.
He reached into his crossbody messenger bag and pulled out some Band-Aids and disinfectant wipes. "Here."
Crocus began to carefully disinfect all the scrapes and cuts, consoling the kid as they winced.
"Are you one of those- those gods Frin believes in???" Bonnie asked and Crocus put a Band-Aid on the scrape on their nose.
"Mhm. Crocus, god of messages, healing, trickery, speed... I have more, I just can't recall." He hummed. "I'm the coolest god in The Universe, just saying. Everyone in Ilios loves me."
Bonnie giggled a bit.
"I'm Bonnie..." The kid smiled. Crocus gave the kid a high five, then immediately stared at his hand.
"Why is your hand sticky???"
"Pineapple juice. And other juices."
"... Right."
Crocus sighed and wiped his hand on his wings.
"Let's go find your party." Crocus picked the kid up and began flying. "Hold on tight."
"WOAH!! THIS IS SO CRABBING COOL!!!" Bonnie exclaimed as Crocus flew high into the sky and swooped through the trees nearby.
Bonnie would let out occasional whoosh sounds as they flew. Crocus laughed.
"CRAB YEAH!!!" Bonnie exclaimed as they swooped down, crashing onto the grass.
Then-
"BONIFACE???!!!" Called the voice of Odile.
"BONNIE???!!!" Screamed Mirabelle.
Crocus set the kid down and smiled.
"Crocus!!!" Bonnie gave the god a excited little smile. "Thank you!!!"
"Don't thank me, kid. You probably will die." He waved and flew up.
"Good luck with Andromeda!!!"
"Wait who's-"
Crocus flew off.
Bonnie just stood there confusedly.
Then, after a moment, they were grabbed and pulled into a tight hug.
"Nille!!!" Bonnie exclaimed, looking up at their sister.
" 'm going to CRABBING KILL YA' BON!!! WHAT WERE YA' THINKING!!! Runnin' off like that???!!!" Nille screamed, cheek soaked with tears.
"Nille..." Bonnie frowned, trying to jump up and wipe their sisters tears.
"BONIFACE!!!" Odile screamed, rushing over, arms crossed and face stern.
Isabeau and Siffrin were close behind, following after Odile. Mirabelle ran over from the other side of the forest and gasped.
"I'm sorry..." Bonnie murmured.
"Sorry doesn't cut it. Now I'm gonna have to slow cook you." Odile hummed.
She was obviously joking, but Bonnie didn't get that.
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAA???!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DILE PLEASE!!! NILLE, PROTECT ME!!!" Bonnie sobbed, hiding behind Nille.
Nille smiled. "Nope. You set yourself for the slow cooker."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Bonnie sobbed, rushing to hide behind Siffrin.
"Huh...???" Siffrin awkwardly hid Bonnie under his cloak, a confused smile on their face.
The sun was close to setting, which ment break and snack time!!!
Since Bonnie had ran off, they didn't want them cooking, so Nille made the snacks instead.
"... Frin...???" Bonnie asked quietly.
"Bonnie???" Siffrin smiled.
"Who's... Andromeda???" They asked, kicking their legs gently.
Siffrin looked startled. "Uh... She's... Just a constellation. There was a rumor that she used to be the goddess of Wishes and time, but that was disproven by Callisto."
"Oh... Okay!!!" Bonnie smiled and made sure Siffrin knew they were about to touch him before promptly tackling the rogue into a hug.
Siffrin yelped and awkwardly hugged Bonnie back. "Right... Why'd you ask???"
"Oh!!! Uh... I just remember hearing the name!!!"
"Oooo... kay?"
"Sif!!!" Isabeau was panting as he rushed back over to the group.
Nille paused making food, Odile looked up from her book.
"I know I sound crazy but I crabbing SAW something!!! it FELL from the SKY!!!" Isabeau exclaimed, panicked.
"And you... Ran???" Odile raised her eyebrow.
"I didn't run!!! I walked then started running when I got here!!!"
"Right. okay. Should we check???" Siffrin asked, grabbing his dagger out their cloak.
Bonnie nodded, grabbing their frying pan.
"Nah. Crab that." Nille commented.
"I have to agree with Petronille on this." Odile hummed. "We dont know what it is, it's best if we dont examine it."
"I don't honestly care what we do. So!!! It's up to Mira then!!!" Isabeau exclaimed.
Mirabelle blinked, looking up from the 89th volume of The Cursing Of Chateau Castle.
"U- uh..."
Mirabelle closed her book and sighed.
"... I... Sure...???" She murmured.
Odile hummed.
Nille groaned. "No!!! Belle!!! I thought we were friends!!! This betrayal will not be forgotten!!!" She complained.
So, they went to investigate.

Chapter Text
So, they didn't find anything and they went back to camp.
Mirabelle woke up in the middle of the night to singing.
A Siren call in the night, a vocal trill of a magical beast.
Visiting Ilios, Siffrin's home island, was already to much for her, but now she was hearing things???
Obviously, she went to investigate, rapier raised. And she saw... a glowing fox being.
Like... that one constellation Siffrin told her of.
Vulpecula...???
The constellation of the goddess of prophecy and visions, Cassandra. She was apart of... The Universe. Right???
Whatever, Mirabelle ran after it.
"Where are you going???!!! Don't leave me alone!!!" Exclaimed the Housemaiden of Change.
She couldn't believe she was doing this in the middle of the night when everyone else was asleep.
Siffrin and Isabeau???
Cuddling and asleep.
Odile???
Sleeping.
Nille and Bonnie???
For sure asleep with how she could hear their snoring from her own tent.
The fox paused it's moving, standing still and staring at her. It's tail flicked.
Hearing it paused, she stopped, breathing heavily. Why the hell did she feel a burst of adrenaline just now from chasing after a fox???
She held up her rapier defensively towards the fox, and spoke softly.
"Who.. are you...???" She asked.
The fox just stared.
It couldn't speak.
Duh.
'Right.' thought Mirabelle
Seeing that it couldn't speak, but it clearly understood her language. After a moment, she spoke up, in a tone of surprise.
"A-are you... The Vulpecula constellation???"
The fox inched closer.
Okay.
Yes.
Probably.
'this is my chance!!!' She thought excitedly, keeping her rapier raised defensively to the fox.
"Are you... here to give me a vision??? Is that why you're here???" She asked, hopeful.
The fox did a circle motion.
"You... Want me to spin around???" She asked in confusion.
"Uhhhh, all right."
Deciding to humor the thing, she gave a twirl.
It spun faster, excitedly.
"Oh, uh okay!!!"
She spun again, this time much faster.
It went faster.
"Hehehe!!!"
She grinned as she spun faster, faster, faster.
"Like that???" She asked the fox.
The glowing fox jumped up and down.
"I'm... Gonna take that as a yes!!!" She laughed gleefully, spinning to make the fox happy.
Then, a soft laugh. "pfft... I can not do this anymore." Murmured a soft female voice, smooth, like honey. It echoed divinely, burning in Mirabelle's mind.
Hearing that, her eye widened, and she instantly stopped, wobbling around from spinning so fast.
Is that voice...???
"My name is Cassandra. I've been called Vulpecula." The voice spoke. The fox jumped up and down more and spun excitedly, like a dog chasing it's tail.
Her eyes widen even more, realizing that her theory was true, and she was speaking to the goddess, the universe itself, Cassandra.
"Oh my- oh um... Hello." She said, trying not to faint.
"Hi." The fox glowed then shifted into the form of a human woman.
Her eyes glowed, her hair flowed gently in the wind, her cloak mimicked Mirabelle's, just longer and covered in vines and leaves.
Seeing her form now, she stared at the woman with fascination. "You're... Much different than what I've heard." She said, not daring to even blink in case she'd miss something.
"Well, I imagine all you've heard is from the bright one." Hummed the goddess.
The... bright one...???
Oh.
Siffrin.
'I KNEW IT!!! I knew he wasn't telling me the entire truth about the goddess.' She thought.
"Ah... Yeah... He told me a lot of things about you.." she admitted, voice a bit hesitant.
Cassandra laughed.
Hearing her laugh flustered Mirabelle, and she blushed a bit.
That is so not okay. That is the universe laughing. The universe. That is a goddess. She is apart of the Universe. Siffrin's god.
"Um. Why.. are you, um," she began, her words fumbling, change Mirabelle.
The goddess smiled "I am here to give you the ability of seeing the past, future, and present all at once, at your own will."
WHAT-
The past and the...
And the...
At- At the same time???
'MIRABELLE STOP FREAKING ABOUT THAT FOR ONE MOMENT AND SAY SOMETHING FOR CHANGES SAKE-'
"W-wh- what?" She stammers out in disbelieving shock.
"Savior of Vaugarde. Are you okay???"
She snapped out of her trance-like state and stammered, "Y-yes I'm okay!!! I-I just- um- what- how-"
It took a minute before she calmed herself down, inhaling and exhaling, and her blush fading.
"I'm okay now." She assured, although she was still very surprised. "Just... very surprised."
Cassandra extended a star shaped brooch with a faintly glowing gem.
"Give it a try sometime, Savior Of Vaugarde." Cassandra smiled.
She took the brooch like it was made of porcelain, afraid to damage it.
"I... Can really see the past and future, just like that??? Willingly???" She questioned in disbelief.
There's no way...
There has to be some sort of catch.
Cassandra nodded then- poof.
She shrieked slightly as the goddess vanished with a poof, jumping back. "WHA-"
That, was certainly something.
She clutched the brooch, looking down at it and fiddling with it.
Cool.
"Mira???" Asked the groggy voice of Siffrin
She flinched again, turning to look at Siffrin.
Her anxiety started to rise in her chest at the thought of telling Siffrin about the goddess.
"Y-yes??? Did, um, you need anything...???" She asked him, her voice nervous as she fiddled with the brooch.
"We're going to the capital tomorrow, you should get back to bed..."
"I..." She hesitated, struggling to tell him what happened.
"I need to show you something. Please." She said, voice shaking a bit, but was still stern enough to show that she was serious.
Siffrin blinked away his sleepiness. "Huh??? What's wrong???"
'Hhhhhh... How do I word this...'
She took a breath, then said, "Cassandra showed herself to me...."
"That's good. That's approval to go to the capital." Siffrin smiled.
Her eye twitched slightly.
"Y-yeah, yeah um..."
'Now or never Mirabelle.'
"She... Gave me this."
Mirabelle held out her hand to Siffrin, opening her palm, showing him the brooch she was given.
"A brooch??? No... No is... That's..." Siffrin shook away the thought. "Sorry. Nevermind. I'm losing it."
"...Siffrin."
The Rogue startled.
"Can you stop trying to hide things from me, please? I just talked with one of the universe. Cassandra. Tell me."
Mirabelle's voice was stern, hiding her mild anxiety as she looked at him.
"It just... Looks familiar. I know it's a gift of prophecy from Cassandra but... I recognize it from somewhere."
"Where...? Where do you recognize it from...?" She asked, holding the brooch in her hands tightly, slightly anxious.
"It just..." Siffrin paled and stumbled back. "Mirabelle. Get that away from me!!!"
She jolted back at how his voice rose in a horrified tone.
"What??? What's wrong???" She asked, confused and concerned, still holding the brooch.
"That- ICARUS-" Siffrin stressed.
Wha- HUH???
"Get it AWAY!!!"
She held back a shriek from his screaming, holding the brooch close to her chest as if to protect it.
"WHAT???? Siffrin you're freaking me out."
"Mira!!! That- It- Cassandra was fated to gift that to someone when- WHEN-" Siffrin broke down
She stared at him, seeing him fall into whatever he was in.
"Siffrin??"
Mirabelle walked to him, reaching out a hand cautiously, not knowing what to do but wanting to do something.
"Siffrin, what... what's happening???"
"Get it away, Mira...!!!"
Seeing his reaction, she complied, placing the brooch inside her bag as fast as she could.
"Okay, okay, it's away." She assured Siffrin, her voice laced with worry and concern.
Siffrin nodded shakily, then collapsed.
