FIRST FLOWER
It was the middle of the night and Sanji was sitting at the table in the galley as he frantically scribbled down ideas in a notebook.
Sanji looked up from the notebook in which he was writing down the meals he had planned out for the week when he heard footsteps approaching the door to the galley, the door creaked as it was opened and Zoro’s face was visible from the opening, he seemed to hesitate before stepping inside.
Zoro’s boots were heavy against the floorboards as he approached Sanji, he was holding something behind his back, something blue, Sanji noted.
“What is it?” Sanji asked as he looked up at Zoro, his voice had a tired tinge to it.
Zoro sat down on the bench beside him and seemed to just be looking at him before quickly remembering what he was there for, he moved his hand from behind him and held it out towards Sanji, in his grip was a flower, it was indeed blue and looked incredible beautiful and fancy, Sanji couldn’t help but wonder where he could’ve gotten his hands on it.
“Here” Zoro’s voice was quiet unlike usual.
His head was turned away to hide his blushing but his red tinted ears gave it away quickly.
Sanji just looked at him before letting out a chuckle.
“Thank you darling”
Zoro’s head turned back at the sound of his voice and Sanji reached his hand up to his face and gently caressed it, Zoro’s blush intensified and Sanji gave him a warm smile before he decided that he was done with the meal planning for today and he turned his full attention to Zoro instead.

SECOND FLOWER
The second time was on a random morning while Sanji was making breakfast, he was twirling back and forth in the kitchen and didn’t notice the creak of the door opening and someone entering.
Boots were once again heavy against the floorboards, Zoro walked through the galley and stopped in the opening to the kitchen admiring the view before remembering what he was there for again.
“Hey Cook” Zoro’s voice was more gruff this time but the blush still spread across his face.
Sanji stopped in his tracks and turned to look at him, Zoro turned away his head.
“What is it now” Sanji’s voice was annoyed from being interrupted while cooking but it softened when he noticed that Zoro was once again holding something blue behind his back.
“Here” he said as he held forward his hand.
Sanji looked at it and it was yet another flower, this one was simpler but it was still incredible beautiful and Sanji found himself once again wondering where Zoro kept getting them however that question got cut short and Sanji felt his face heating up as he realized that the flowers shade of blue exactly matched the one in his eyes.
Sanji started laughing as he gave Zoro a bright smile before looping his arms around him and he felt Zoro freeze up in shock at his touch.
“Thank you sweetheart” his voice was gentle beside Zoro’s ear and he could feel him snapping out of his shock.
Sanji closed his eyes as he felt Zoro’s arms hugging his waist as he brought him closer to himself and Sanji smiled at the gesture.
They both were so in the moment that they completely forgot about what Sanji was doing before and just basked in each other’s presence.

THIRD FLOWER
Sanji was smoking as he leaned against the railing of Sunny.
The sun sat high and mighty upon the sky and it looked truly glorious, the summer breeze felt warm against his skin and he closed his eyes.
The rest of the crew had left to go explore the island and he was alone, or almost alone he thought as he heard the familiar boots against wood and right after the presence of his companion beside him, Sanji opened his eyes and looked over at Zoro who was looking out at the horizon and then down at his hands, he was holding something but this time Sanji didn’t see any blue in his hand.
“You gonna say something or just stand there “ Sanji’s voice was playful as he nudged Zoro’s shoulder with his own and that made Zoro finally turn to him.
“Here” he said as he once again held out his hand.
This time it wasn’t a fancy blue flower but was instead just a simple dandelion.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t get you something better” Zoro had a sad look on his face as he started explaining but he was quickly stopped.
“No,no it’s perfect” Sanji reassured him as he smiled, that smile could easily rival the brightness of the sun any day.
Sanji pulled him into a hug and he grabbed his face as Zoro hugged his waist and Sanji brought his face closer before placing a gentle kiss on Zoro’s lips, the sad look from before quickly disappeared and a smile stretched across his face as the blush spread across his cheeks before he held Sanji tighter and kissed him again this time with more passion.
The simple dandelion looked like the sun on the sky, simple but still more beautiful than the others and Sanji knew that this one was his favorite.
