    But the cook… that bastard would lie and pretend and stuff his emotions down so far you might wonder if he were little more than a chasm made manifest. Zoro hated that about him — it struck him as insincere and it proved to be a liability more often than anyone would admit. If the damn fool couldn’t stuff it down, it bubbled up like poison and spewed everywhere like a volcano belching hot molten anger as a defense.

    But because he was flirty and ditzy and always fawning over the girls, he seemed to skirt the scrutiny that Zoro found impossible to avoid.

    And then on the rare occasion the cook would get drunk, everything came spilling out of him like a broken faucet.

    This evening was one of those occasions.

    No one complains when he gets drunk because he’s silly and sweet, he’s a mess but it’s endearing and even Zoro likes him when he’s this way.

    Sanji was 'the omega'. It was a forgone conclusion in the Vinsmoke Manor that the third son of the quadruplets was going to be the only non-alpha in their family, their deceased mother being an omega herself used as further proof. A very strange statement from Judge Vinsmoke given his scientific background and studies, but bias exists in everybody. Case in point, it had inadvertently shaped Sanji's own views on some levels.

    He fully believed he would present as an omega and his brothers would follow in the path of their father and older sister to be alphas. It was so fully baked into his psyche that he was confused why Niji would want to sneak a look at their blood results so soon. Before even their father.

    Or, the one coffee shop au where Usopp pulls a prank, Sanji is unexpectedly (read: completely unexpected to him and only him) popular among the male population of their campus, and Zoro just wants to grab a coffee.
