Danny stared at his screen, shocked. This video, made by Jorge himself HAD to be about him, right!? What other Danny had reacted to Epic in such length? What other Danny had entire compilations made about his journey through Epic?
Still, a part of him knew he couldn't be too hasty with his assumptions. What if he was wrong..? He’d look like a fool.
Naturally, Danny’s first instinct was to make a video about it. Maybe he could get Jorge’s attention again. Not that he cared about Jorge’s attention.. Whatever. He was allowed to feel good when the creator of something he’s watching acknowledges his presence. And not only that, but Jorge praised him too.
The video was a YouTube short. It was a light hearted silly short, that was covering up the internal storm of stress Danny felt. If he was wrong, he wasn’t sure he could handle that.
Danny Motta was a character that happened to share a name with the boy from Connecticut, who now lived a frazzled life in Los Angeles, where he was running from event to event like an intern. Caught in a mess of projects on other channels, collabs, events, cons, reaction to FUCKING HELLUVA BOSS…He was swamped in things to do.
But Epic held a special place in his heart, like the owl house before it. There was something special about Epic that had a chokehold on his heart far tighter than he cared to admit. A chokehold that kept him thinking about the musical and its creator far longer than it should have. Danny often felt like he was drowning, and Epic was a light, leading him out.
Jorge, meanwhile, thought nothing of his silly little video. He posted silly things all the time, like that fun Iguana video he had filmed to advertise the Epic merch dropping. He was lounging on his couch, humming a melody he thought could be interesting for Illium, when his phone pinged. It was someone texting him on Discord.

He hadn’t even thought about it that much. He’d just seen Danny’s videos everywhere, and lots of his Epic castmates and friends had mentioned that he asked them to do skits with him, so he just assumed it was obvious who he was talking about. His phone dinged again.

Upon opening the link, Jorge was taken to a video in which Danny proceeded to have a mental breakdown, wondering if it was in fact him that Jorge was talking about.
Jorge couldn’t help but chuckle. Perhaps a reply, a clarification was in order. Plus then he got a chance to talk about Danny again. Win win.
So he immediately started recording, turning on his camera with no particular plan, other than to cause utter chaos as per usual.
He would NEVER say Danny Motta’s name. Just to mess with him.
