Work Text:
Baby,” Jaegal Lin coaxed gently, “We have to get up now.”
“Mhm,” baby Cheonhee made a soft noise of disagreement and stubbornly laid on Jaegal Lin's chest.
Jaegal Lin was laying flat on the bed, facing the ceiling, and baby Cheonhee lay on his tummy, resting on Jaegal's chest.
Baby Cheonhee tilted his head up to look at Jaegal Lin, and after confirming that Jaegal was still there, lazily flopped his head back to rest near Jaegal's heart.
“That's not getting up, Hee-ya,” Jaegal chided, but there was no bite in his tone.
“…eepy,” baby Cheonhee replied, pouting adorably.
Laying on his Master's chest was comfy, and baby Cheonhee had to intention of rolling over to let his Master get up. Well, baby Cheonhee was so small and light that Jaegal could, technically, get up even with Cheonhee laying there, but the truth was, Jaegal himself was lazy to get up.
Laying there with Cheonhee in his chest?
It was nice.
The warmth and weight of his disciple was comforting.
“Hee-ya,” Jaegal said, absent-mindedly stroking his baby disciple's back.
Baby Cheonhee cooed in response, his eyes fluttering open before closing again.
“We should probably get up,” Jaegal stated, but his body didn't move at all.
“Mash-terrr, get, up?” Baby Cheonhee asked, moving his tiny hand.
“Shouldn't we?” Jaegal murmured.
“The clinic…”
He eyed Cheonhee's soft hair and ruffled it gently.
“We probably have a lot of responsibilities to do, right?” Jaegal mused.
“No?” Baby Cheonhee replied, clutching the corner of Jaegal's clothes with his tiny fist.
“No?” Jaegal laughed at baby Cheonhee's response.
What did he mean by saying no?
“Mass-te, west,” Cheonhee stated, his other hand patting Jaegal Lin's chest.
“Rest?”
“Mhm….” baby Cheonhee didn't even bother to open his eyes.
Jaegal Lin smiled.
Alright, since that was what baby Cheonhee wanted….
“Let's rest, then.”
Jaegal and baby Cheonhee slept for another two hours after that, and Jaegal woke up to give baby Cheonhee breakfast. Sleeping was great, but sleeping too much, especially when Cheonhee hadn't eaten anything, wasn't good for him.
Now, the two of them were in Jaegal Lin's study. Cheonhee had eaten, and Jaegal was now sitting on his chair looking at the various reports in front of him.
No wait, he wasn't actually looking at those reports. He was looking at baby Cheonhee, sitting on top of the table.
“Mash-ter?” Baby Cheonhee asked, grabbing one memorial with one hand and waving it in front of Jaegal Lin.
Jaegal Lin sighed.
“Even you are telling me to work?” Jaegal groaned.
Baby Cheonhee flung away the report and watched it drop to the ground with a plap.
“Hehe,” Cheonhee grinned sweetly.
Jaegal Lin couldn't help smiling as well.
“You're the best, Hee-ya,” Jaegal ruffled his hair. “Work is useless, right? What's the point of having so many subordinates if I still have to work?”
Jaegal Lin picked up his disciple and gently cradled him in his arms, while baby Cheonhee reflexively clung to his neck.
Once his position was stable, baby Cheonhee reached out for Jaegal Lin’s hair and tugged playfully.
Jaegal chuckled fondly and stroked his hair.
“Hee-ya….”
“Masher….”
“Hee-ya….”
“Masher! Masher!”
Jaegal Lin hugged Cheonhee tightly.
He really, really, really loved his disciple.
Eyeing the piles of work on his table, Jaegal Lin frowned and whisked it away with his Qi.
Work could be given to others.
For now….
Jaegal Lin leaned backwards on his chair, hugging baby Cheonhee, and closed his eyes.
He wanted to enjoy the day, just like this….
