Summary
Kaoru had no clue what Adam was talking about, or what he might be planning, but regardless, he was content to simply ignore him. However, Kojiro seemed intent on trying to burn a hole through Adam’s skull with his eyes. He was glaring daggers at him, even when his announcement was over and he moved off to the side of the stage. Adam was sure to notice soon, if he hadn’t already.
“Stop that…” Kaoru muttered under his breath.
Kojiro blinked and looked at Kaoru, like he hadn’t even realized what he was doing. “Stop what..?”
Kaoru rolled his eyes. “Just pay attention. The race is starting.”
The lights started flashing, then the start was signaled and they watched until Miya and Shadow were out of sight before looking up at the screens.
Kaoru sighed. “Should we go catch the end at the finish line?”
“Nah… I think I wanna hang out here a bit longer.”
Kaoru didn’t question it, not particularly caring either way. He would soon wish he had.
Or, emotions run high at S, Adam gets a bit of comeuppance, and a long overdue conversation ensues.
