Momo’s pov
“I’m honestly so bummed out that Hero’s Liquid closed” Ochako says with her head laid down on the table in front of us.
“I mean what did you expect we were basically their only customers, they were gonna closed down eventually” Tenya says.
“Yeah it’s still quite sad that our hangout spot had to unfortunately go out of business” I spoke.
Which is true. We were all devastated hearing about the café, we had many cherished memories there. It was almost like a second home.
“We’re just lucky that Tsu found us another spot not too far, this place seems very nice and much bigger than Hero’s Liquid, tho it’ll take time to get used to it.” Izu explained trying to comfort his distraught girlfriend.
“Yes, how did you even find out about this cafe Tsu?” Iida asked.
“Well Ochako and I have a couple of friends that work here, after finding out Hero’s Liquid shut down they suggested we come here.” Tsu answered.
“Yeah, they actually should be coming around soon I believe they’re shift begins in a couple minutes, maybe they’ll give us a discount.” Ochako jokes whipping out her phone to text somebody.
“Well I’m just happy to have a cafe with more people in it, I mean I love our old cafe but this one has just a nice atmosphere” Shoto sipped in his coffee.
“Very much so.” I agree.
I take a sip of my green tea, looking around the cafe. The place was definitely much bigger, they even had a stage for the part timer musicians. It was quite nice hearing the strumming of the guitar while talking with my friends.
“Oh hey, over here!” Ochako yelled.
I whip my head around to see a young man with spikey red hair start walking towards us. Behind him a smaller girl with short purple hair, bangs cut unevenly but somehow works perfectly with her face structure. Both of them wore uniforms with the name “All Might Long”. They must be Tsu’s and Ochako’s friends.
“Hey guys, you actually came!” The red head hugged the two girls.
“I’m surprised it took y’all this long to actually visit us” The short girl said smirking while going to hug the girls.
She turns her head our way. She looks at everyone at the table, taking in the fresh faces.
“These must be your friends, Hi I’m Kyouka Jirou but you can call me Kyo, this guy here is Ejirou Kirishima” she says while bowing slightly.
“Hello it’s nice to meet you, I’m Tenya Iida” Tenya returns the bow.
“I’m Shoto Todoroki”
“And I’m Momo Yoayoarozu, it’s a pleasure to meet you both” I smile.
“The pleasures all mine” smirks Jirou.
I feel my face heat up a bit.
“Well we would love to chat more but should probably be clocking in, but I’m sure since the cafe isn’t busy that’ll well stop by for some quick chats.” Kirishima said smiling at us.
“Not unless Katsuki’s on schedule he’ll have us deep clean everything until we’re out of breathe.” Jirou chuckles.
“Well we’ve kept you guys long enough, feel free to stop and chat with us, we’ll love to get to know y’all better” Izuku grabs Ochako’s hand leading her back to her seat, and letting the two friends start their shifts.
“We’ll love to know y’all more too, c’mon Kiri we should go” Jirou walks towards the counter, Kirishima trailing right behind her.
I look over to Ochako and Tsu.
“They seem really nice, why haven’t we meet them sooner?” I questioned.
“It never really crossed our minds until now, but yeah they’re really chill I think you guys will get along nicely.” Tsu answered.
I turn my head towards the counter where Jirou stood taking a customers order. I take this opportunity to take a longer look. In the light her eyes glow purple, her fair skin seems smooth and, not to seem like a creep, you can tell by her figure that she works out. I watch the way her expressions change during the interaction, the way she smiled, laughed, she looked absolutely beautiful. I was in awe, I couldn’t look away no matter what.
“Uhm, Yaomomo?” Todoroki whispered towards me.
I turned towards him, a blush rising to my checks from the embarrassment of being caught.
“You were staring for too long” He smiled.
I look down still very embarrassed. I’m just glad Jirou didn’t notice. I take a deep breathe and look up.
Immediately we make eye contact. She waves at me with a smile, I wave back, with a much stupider smile on mine.
“So Yaomomo, how’s school going?” Tenya asked.
“Everything’s great, right now I have an art assignment for one of my classes, it was just assigned yesterday.” I replied still with a light blush.
“That’s sounds good, it must be fun. I know ever since we we’re kids that you loved art, so it’s nice to see you pursuing it even after everything.” Tenya said.
“It was hard at first but we’ve past everything, honestly it is very refreshing.” I sipped my green tea.
That’s right. Everything is fine now. I have my own apartment I’m studying my passion, I have amazing friends that will be there for me when I need them, and my parents have come around the idea of me taking art seriously, about me liking girls, and about not following the path they chose for me. Yet for some reason I still feel so insecure. Why? I don’t know. I wish I could find out, I wish I wasn’t such coward, I wish I could tell someone how I feel, I wish…
“Want a refill?”
I look up.
“I’m sorry if I scared you” she starts, “It’s just that you looked quite adorable staring at your empty cup, I thought I would give you a refill, free of charge.” Jirou smiles.
“Y-yeah that would be nice, I ordered the green tea, ar-are you sure?” I stutter, heat rising to my cheeks once again.
“For a pretty girl like you, of course.” She takes my cup and heads to the back counter, getting ready to pour me another cup.
I sit there staring before turning my head towards the others to see if anyone else witnessed the encounter. Izuku and Ochako seemed to be in their own world, but before I could turn my head back, Sho, Tenya, and Tsu, all shot me a look with Shoto giving me a thumbs up. This time the blush on my cheeks are from the embarrassment of having 3/5th of my friends witnessing a cool girl flirt with me. Wait. Was she flirting with me? She defiantly was. Wasn’t she?
“Here you go, I hope it taste as good.” Jirou hands the tea to me.
“Th-thank you very much!” I take a sip of the tea.
“Wow, it taste amazing even better than before!” I exclaimed.
“That’s a relief, I don’t know what I would’ve done if I had messed the recipe up.”
“Well you did an amazing job, so don’t worry!” I smiled.
“That’s good to hear, if you need anything else let me know” Jirou walks towards another table with customers.
“I don’t know about you guys but she seems quite nice” I hear Tsu whisper.
“She seems like a caring soul.” Tenya agrees.
“Indeed.” Shoto takes a sip of his coffee.
I roll my eyes hearing my friends comments, but I do believe they’re being honest. I take another glance towards her direction, and I can’t stop my heart from beating fast, remembering the encounters that just occurred. I take sip of my green tea before turning my full attention to my friends, hopefully after a while my face would go back to it’s original color.
