Summary
“I—i’m sorry…” Ralsei said— his voice shaking. He closed his eyes and readied a healing spell for Susie. It was a desperate one, her wound was on the rough side.
“Dude, I already said it was fine.” The girl said, contrasted by her shaking voice. “Why’d you even hesitate? I was going for a counterattack. Were you waiting for an order or— something….?”
Susie suddenly stops.
Ralsei feels his face slowly turning into a frown.
“ Yes…” he stops, still focusing on the healing spell. “I suppose..I was..?”
Silence fills the air.
“Shit, dude..” Susie says, breathing out a frustrated sigh. “Are we, like, forgetting something important?”
Ralsei shakes his head.
Susie nods, letting the question roll around in her head a bit more, before leaving it unsolved, again.
And perhaps they will never get an answer to that question.
Or, a ‘if’ situation— what if Kris disappeared without a trace?
