Work Text:
“Alright Hyperlaser!! You know the plan right??” Subspace said, kneeling down atop the roof with Hyperlaser beside him. The both of them had rehearsed this plan over and over again, and gods knows what would even happen. But hey, it would surely be worth all the hard work and effort right?
“I know, Subspace.” Hyperlaser responded simply, not even bothering to turn his head for even a moment. His focus remained on the target, this disgusting, degenerate of a man. “Excellent!! Make sure you aim EXACTLY for the rightmost part of his throat and SPECIFICALLY that area. Anywhere else and there’s a slim possibility he’ll survive it!!” Subspace restated.
Hyperlaser just let out a rumble of acknowledgment in his throat. He had one focus and one focus only; to get rid of this plague upon man. The large crowd gathered around him was nothing more than a whisper, a gentle susurrus that passed through the wind. Nothing more, and nothing less. All of his attention remained on Kirk, waiting for the perfect time to strike him and strike him well.
“See you in hell.”
Hyperlaser sneered, before finally pulling the trigger of his gun. A loud, searing crack burst through the air, his body lurching from the powerful recoil of the gun as the bullet pierced through the air, slicing through the atmosphere like a blade through a simple piece of parchment paper. Subspace immediately perked up, carefully peaking over the roof top to see what had occurred.
Charlie Kirk’s body immediately jerked left due to the hit. Arms curling into his body as a result of spinal cord injury and he collapsed onto the floor of the podium. “CHARLIE!!” A member of the crowd shouted in disbelief and horror. As the crowd grew tumultuous.
People were fleeing the scenes with few rushing to Kirk’s aid, but clearly, there was no saving him. “Holy FUCK!!” Subspace said, clearly thrilled at the scene. “You actually hit it!! Wonderful!!” He said awestruck, and if it weren’t for the gas mask that covered his mouth, Hyperlaser probably would’ve seen the widest grin on his face.
“Mm.” Hyperlaser responded simply, de-summoning his gear. “The mission was successful.” He’d state simply. Hyperlaser felt no regret for any action, as if anyone could pity someone as gross and immoral as Kirk was.
“I’m glad my smarts paid off!!” Subspace said, giving little credit to Hyperlaser as he was the one to actually execute Kirk. But that didn’t matter right now, what mattered was fleeing the scene before they actually got caught.
“I’m sure.” Hyperlaser said nonchalantly, “enough idle chat, best we get out of here before someone spots us.” He stated flatly, waiting for Subspace’s response. “Yes, yes!! Let’s go, I’m a very busy inphernal and I haven’t got all day to deal with pricks.” Subspace responded. “Let’s get outta here now!!” He’d say before quickly moving towards the edge of the faculty building and climbing down as quickly and efficiently as he could. Hyperlaser followed suit.

“There were two suspects spotted fleeing the scene of the shooting. However—”
Hyperlaser turned off the radio, sighing heavily as he turned to gaze at his cat, Princess.
“Shame, who would do such a thing, right?”
