Mikka's family hadn't left her with much.
Her mother used to say they had all they needed to survive, and she wasn't wrong. Mikka had her mother's resourcefulness, her father's eye for opportunities. But there was something else.
A desire to do more than just survive. A desire only Ritsu truly understood.
She had her brother's unwavering pride too.
She looked up at the palace. Damaged, but the king had more important business than minor repairs. He would lead Ku to a great future, worthy to be remembered by history.
But it would be her hands that rebuilt his town.
