Faja [alien, via translator]: thanks for subduing that quadril earlier.
Prak [human]: it’s my job. I’m security. Why are you following me?
F: I was wondering about your digits. You have so many of them.
P: … my fingers?
F: and the plates at the end of them. It seems a strange place for armor.
P: … my fingernails??? They aren’t armor they're keratin.
F: Fascinating. And then there’s the fact that your hair is sparse. What function does it serve?
P: I don’t know?? Why do you have a beak and how can you speak without lips???
F: are you curious about my species? Let me tell you!
P: nope, nope, I’m good! [Prak slips into his room and shuts the door. Faja texts them on aer watch]
F: - if you ever have time I’d love to hear more about humans! - Your biology is so weird!
Notes:
Faja (ae/aer) is a tuscia, a species with five main bio sexes that speaks at frequencies higher than humans can hear, hence the translator.
Prak (he/they) is a space human who left earth due to their hatred of pineapple. Humans aren’t the only ones with the traits Faja was interested in, ae just likes to ask questions and was fascinated by the combination of strange evolution that lead to humans.
