I wish you a forever of never getting laid

Summary:

Louise seeks revenge after she and Logan get into a fight.

Notes:

Work Text:

Louise isn’t in the mood for reading, but she traipses toward the bookshelf anyway.

Logan’s playing video games, absorbed with the TV screen, and Louise walks right through his line of vision. She isn't quick about it, either. She takes her time, gliding across the wood floors in the fuzzy socks she got for Christmas.

“Hey!” Logan says, leaning to the side to keep his eyes glued on animated soldiers.

“Louise, what are you—?”

He falls silent, and Louise smirks at the book in her hand. It’s a cookbook, one about pasta, and she does her best impression of someone highly invested in it.

She scans it for a second, not processing a single word, before deciding to slide it back onto the shelf. More specifically, she slides it onto the bottom shelf. The one she has to bend over to reach.

As she leans down, she makes sure her ass stays up in the air. Clad only in a black camisole and the tiny flannel pajama shorts Logan goes crazy for, she knows she makes a tantalizing sight.

Reaching for another book, she makes sure to stay in position until Logan notices.

“What the fuck?” He demands from behind her. “Boys, I—sorry. Sorry. I have to go.”

She has to bite her lip to stop from laughing. She always knew Logan would pause the game when he saw her, but she thought it would at least take a minute.

She spins around, book open in her arms, and looks at him with feigned concern.

“Is something wrong, Logan?”

“You—wait. Louise. You—”

Then she takes off, charging in a beeline toward their bedroom and leaving her stammering mess of a boyfriend in the dust. She hears him clamor at the speed of light, tossing his headphones on the couch and speeding after her.

She moves faster, ducking into the bedroom and rushing to shut the door. Before a slamming sound can echo through their apartment, Logan sticks a hand inside and forces his way in.

“You’re still mad about earlier?” He asks.

His hair is messy, headphone indents on either side. Louise drops the innocent act, glaring at him with all the fire she can muster.

Mad isn’t the right word, Logan. Have you ever seen those nature documentaries where weak little zebras get totally torn apart by lions? That’s what I want to do to you right now.”

He scoffs, and it reads to Louise like a challenge. Like he doubts her ruthlessness. Furious, she spins on her heel and heads straight for the bed.

“What are you doing?” Logan asks when she lies down, pointedly not concealing her body with a blanket. “It’s only 11!”

Louise shrugs, opening her book. It’s only now that she sees it’s called Plants 101: A Comprehensive Guide to All Things Green. Not the most fascinating pick—she’s not even sure where it came from—but she forces herself to look invested.

“I’m reading, Logan. Just because you still struggle with your ABCs doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t enjoy a good book every now and then.”

She wrestles with the urge to look up and enjoy his miffed expression. Focusing all her energy on the book in her lap, she stares at the word pollination for a few seconds before Logan answers.

“Fine.” He says. “If you’re going to bed, then…I’ll join you. An early night never hurt anyone.”

Louise tightens her hold on the plant book.

“You? Early? You haven’t gone to bed before midnight since you were ten.”

Logan shrugs, a sickly sweet smile on his face.

“There’s a first time for everything, Louise. And I’d hate to have you in here feeling lonely.”

Instead of throwing the book across the room, she forces a strained smile onto her face. She looks manic, eyes bulging and practically twitching.

“Hm. Fine.” She says.

Fine.” Logan retorts. “I’m glad we’re on the same page.”

Before sliding into his side of the bed, he turns to the thermostat on the wall. He turns it down a few notches, smirking all the while.

That son of a bitch. Louise thinks as he gets into bed beside her. Goosebumps are already starting to form on her exposed skin.

“You’ve been on that same page for a while, Louise.” Logan comments. “Do you need help sounding something out?”

He peers over at the book.

“Huh. Still on the copyright stuff, huh? That can be tough.”

Louise wants to kick herself. And then him. She scrambles to turn the page, pretty sure the book will have nail marks in it by the time she’s done fake reading.

“It’s hard to read when someone won’t quit bothering you.” She says.

She’s not sure how it happened, but she can feel Logan gaining the upperhand. She knows she has to seize the power again, so she does the only thing she can think to do.

Flipping onto her side, she gives up the book charade all together and tosses it on the bedside table. Now she can focus on what really matters: looking so hot that Logan regrets ever pissing her off.

“Actually, I’m too tired for reading.” She lies. “I’m just gonna go to sleep now.”

Louise has never been that into her appearance, but that doesn’t mean she won’t use it as a weapon when she needs to. Lying on her side like this, she knows the shape of her body is enough to drive any hot-blooded man wild.

“Bed?” Logan asks, his cool composure crumbling. “Like, sleeping?”

“You nailed it, Logan. Bed like sleeping. Nice work, detective.”

She’s freezing after his little thermostat trick, but it’s not like she’s gonna let him know that. She adjusts herself, letting her ass wiggle under the guise of simply getting more comfortable.

Logan inhales sharply. Apparently, there are no more clever quips or sarcastic comments rattling around in his head. Satisfied, Louise shuts her eyes and awaits his next move.

From behind her, Logan growls. It takes Louise off guard, arousal swooping through her stomach unexpectedly. The last time he made that sound was right next to her ear as he shoved her against the shower wall.

She squeezes her eyes shut tighter, trying hard to block out any untoward thoughts. Then, without any warning at all, she finds herself flat on her back.

Logan is hovering above her, straddling her legs and mirroring the steely expression she wears. Louise’s first instinct is to gasp, but she holds it in at the last second.

With Logan on top of her, it’s easy to stay angry but impossible to fight off the surge of horniness that rises up in her chest. She keeps her mouth shut, scared the only words she’s capable of speaking right now are take your clothes off and fuck me already.

From his superior position, Logan flashes a smug grin. He clearly knows the effect he has on her, and that stupid arrogance makes him even more irresistible.

“Let’s make up.” He says in a low voice, leaning further into her space.

As much as she wants to give in, Louise knows she’ll never forgive herself if she does. While she’s struggling to form a game plan, Logan’s hands snake upward and intertwine with her own.

Now trapped to the mattress, she kicks her feet in an effort to escape. Logan laughs, which just makes her twice as determined and about a million times as angry.

“Get off!” She hisses, kicking again. “Seriously, Logan.”

Not quite serious enough to use their safe word, but Louise is getting there. Sort of. Her brain and pussy are battling to the death, and who the winner will be still remains to be seen.

“No, Louise.” Logan says firmly. “I’m serious. You think you can walk around here in those tiny shorts and I’m not gonna do anything about it? I guess you don’t know me at all.”

She struggles unsuccessfully to free herself from his grip, but it’s no use. Logan is stronger than her—a lot stronger.

“I’m not having sex with a traitor.” She says fiercely, hoping the fury in her voice is enough to scare him off.

Unfortunately for her, Logan’s not one to back down from a fight either. He groans, tightening his grip on her hands.

“Will you let it go already? So, I watched one episode of our dumb show without you. Is that really such a crime?”

The stupidity of the question fills Louise with a new kind of strength, and the sheer rage is powerful enough that she almost manages to wrestle Logan off of her. Still, he manages to fend off the building wrath and keep her pinned to the bed.

“Yes, it’s a crime!” She yells. “A show about a cop who’s also a zookeeper, and you think it’s okay to watch without me? It’s the dumbest plot ever! How many terrible animal puns did I miss, Logan?”

He sighs, actual remorse crossing his face.

“…a lot.” He admits. “And it wasn’t as fun without you! I’d never do it again, but…you were at your sister’s house for so long, Louise. I had to know what happened!”

Louise finally goes limp, no longer fighting to break his hold on her. She glares, wanting Logan to know exactly how much he messed up.

“I go to one wine night with my mom and sister, and suddenly it’s like I don’t even exist? Now I have to watch it alone!”

Logan lets go completely, recognizing the shift from seething anger to actual communication. With his hands now resting on the mattress, Louise is totally free to move. She just chooses not to.

“I’ll still watch it with you.” He promises. “We can still make fun of it together and everything! I have like…five jokes you’re gonna love.”

Some of Louise’s anger has started to dissipate, leaving something closer to affection in its place. She even smiles just a little, prompting Logan to smile back.

“Doubtful.” She says. “Did Cthulhu watch with you?”

She pictures her beloved Doberman conspiring with Logan behind her back, and this is actually more hurtful than anything Logan could do on his own.

“Nah.” He says. “He slept through the whole thing.”

“I’m glad someone around here is loyal.” She says accusingly.

But despite the venom in her voice, she doesn’t pull away when Logan kisses her. He tastes like mint toothpaste.

“Now that we’ve got that sorted out…” He says, his hand landing on her thigh. “Can we focus on what really matters?”

Louise laughs, and the sharp sound twists his face into a frown.

“You’re kidding, right?” She says. “Just because I’m not gonna kill you anymore doesn’t mean you’re getting laid tonight.”

Logan narrows his eyes, looking her up and down. He seems to consider just ripping her pajamas off and asking for forgiveness later, but a warning look from Louise makes him think better of it.

“But I said I’d watch it with you!” He shoots back. “We kissed! It was really touching.”

Louise pushes his chest, and he sits back in surprise. His eyes stay fixed on her tits the whole time, and she feels them sway pleasantly in her shirt as turns on her side.

“I told you, Logan.” She reiterates. “I’m going to sleep now. Try not to do any fun couples’ activities without me.”

Logan sputters, and this time Louise doesn’t even play it cool. She cackles, openly enjoying his anguish as his eyes trace her figure.
