Chapter Text
Crunch. The Mandalorian swings around, blaster immediately in his hand when he spots Ahsoka Tano. “Oh.” He says, tentatively putting it in his sheath. “Not who you were expecting to see huh.” She asks, smirking. “Why are you here.” He asks with no emotion, skipping the pleasantries. “I should ask you the same question, Mando.” Ahsoka responds, a ghost of a smile on her face. “I want to see him.” He says. “Of course,” she responds, a gentle look in her eyes, “Take a walk with me.” She turns and walks back where she came from. The Mandalorian immediately follows, not waiting a second longer.
A few minutes later, they end up at a clearing. The Mandalorian brushes aside some large plants and sees a man dressed in all black standing next to- “Grogu.” He whispers fondly. “Well? What are you waiting for? Go on.” Ahsoka Tano says, a smile now fully on her face. The Mandalorian turns and looks at her. “Will I ever see you again?” Her smile climbs farther. “We shall see. The Force works in mysterious ways.” With that, she turns and walks back into the forest. Now, without hesitation, the Mandalorian shouts, “Grogu!” While jogging up the small hill, both figures turn to look. Grogu starts cooing, and the man smiles gently. “Hello, Mandalorian.” He says politely. Scooping up Grogu, the Mandalorian turns to the man and studies him. All black clothing, calf high boots, one black glove. “I suppose I should introduce myself, as I didn't get the chance the first time we met.” The Mandalorian looks at the man's face, awaiting his next words. “I am Luke Skywalker, Jedi and teacher of Grogu.” The Mandalorian pauses for a moment before responding, “I am the Mandalorian, but you can call me Mando.” Luke Skywalker smiles warmly. “It seems you've traveled a long way to get here, come to my home, have a drink.” Luke Skywalker leads the Mandalorian away.
