Claim To Love

Summary:

For years model KTH and CEO JJK's interactions have been talked about but never openly admitted if they were together. Until KTH had been publicly claimed as another CEO's omega during fashion week. Next thing the media saw, CEO JJK arriving at the Celine show with 3 pups in tow holding a big bouquet of flowers for the other father of his pups and the love of his life.

Work Text:

The cameras have always loved Kim Taehyung. He knows it and the world knows it. Tonight, under the burning flash at the red carpet of fashion week, he was flawless as ever. Wearing a soft cardigan made exclusively for him, head held high, lips curved in that practiced half-smile that made entire rooms go silent in awe. But behind the polished facade, his heart was pounding. The whispers hadn't stopped since the announcement earlier that week.

A CEO for one of the brands he endorses, one that has been hounding him and trying to get him to go on a date, even with the endless polite rejections. Said CEO had declared Taehyung as his omega, the one who captured his heart and had been courting for quite some time at a gala dinner. The claim was public, loud. But meant to humiliate and to corner him.

Taehyung hadn't spoken out against it. He couldn't. Not yet. Because there was one person whose reaction mattered more than the rest of the world's combined. And Taehyung hadn't heard a word from him.

Not until the doors of the Celine show opened. The shift in the atmosphere was palpable. A murmur rippled through the audience, followed by gasps and frantic camera clicks. Taehyung's head turned before he even realized it. His pulse spiking as the figure strode in.

Jungkook.

The ever elusive CEO who avoided the spotlight like it was poison. The man the media painted as cold, unreachable and too ruthless for love. He wore privacy as his shield. Yet here he was, broad shoulders framed by an impeccable suit, tattoos peeking from under his cuffs, his sharp gaze sweeping the room like a storm.

And he wasn't alone.

Three small figures clung to him. Tiny hands grasped his suit and one free hand, their wide eyes blinking at the sea of flashing lights. His pups. Their pups.

Taehyung's breath caught in his throat.

The crowd erupted, never ending questions shouted over one another.

"Are those his?"

"Pups?! He has a mate??"

"Whose are they? Who’s the other parent?"

Jungkook ignored them all. In his other hand he carried a bouquet, a beautiful mix of roses and tigerlilies, bound with silk ribbon. He walked with absolute purpose, eyes locked on only one destination; Taehyung.

The model sat frozen, every nerve in his body alive. Until Jungkook stopped before him and then silence fell, deafening. Cameras snapped but no one dared to speak.

Jungkook bent slightly, holding out the flowers. His voice loud, steady and sure "For the father of my pups."

The words struck like thunder. Gasps echoed through the venue. Taehyung's lips parted, trembling. Eyes filling with unshed tears. But Jungkook didn't waver, his gaze fierce and oh so tender it nearly undid him.

Jungkook shifted, his hand brushing over the pup nearest to him, who peeked shyly from behind his leg. Then he looked back at Taehyung, his tone softening a bit. "And for the love of my life."

Taehyung's eyes finally shed the tears he had been holding. He could feel the weight of every stare, every flashing camera. But none of it mattered. Not when Jungkook was standing there, not when their pups looked up at him with the same doe eyes.

Slowly, Taehyung rose from his seat. His trembling hands reached out; first for the flowers, then for Jungkook's hand. The bouquet was heavy but the weight of the moment was heavier.

The world might spin with rumors and headlines might scream. But as Jungkook leaned in, pressing a searing kiss to his temple in front of everyone, Taehyung finally let himself breathe.

No more hiding. No more whispers.

Years of rumors had ended in a single, undeniable moment. And the world had just witnessed the truth.

Jungkook had claimed Taehyung openly, proudly and with their pups as living proof of the life they'd built together.

🌟🌟🌟

The ride home was quieter than either of them had expected. The city buzzed outside, but inside the sleek black car it was only the five of them that mattered. Jungkook, Taehyung and their three adorable pups who had fallen asleep curled against their parents as if the flashing lights and chaos outside had never happened.

Jeon Yul, the eldest of the pups, leaned heavily against Jungkook's side. Thumb tucked against his mouth in a way that he would deny later if teased. The twins, Aera and Areum were curled into Taehyung's warmth, tangled together in that inseparable way that only they managed. Their tiny breaths rising and falling in near-perfect sync.

Taehyung sat with the bouquet still in his lap, the petals brushing against his knees. His fingers traced the silk ribbon absently, his mind caught somewhere between disbelief and relief.

"You didn't have to do that," he said softly. Finally breaking the silence. His voice was gentle, but beneath it lay an ache and a hint of fear he couldn't mask.

Jungkook turned his head, watching him. "Yes, I should. I should've claimed you years ago. Publicly. Properly. You shouldn't have had to stand there while someone else stake a claim over you. Someone who could not take a hint when you have declined him over and over again."

Taehyung's throat tightened. "But the media.... the board.... your reputation...."

"Let them talk," Jungkook cut in, sharper than he meant to. The bite in his tone lingered only a second before he softened. His hand slid over, covering Taehyung's where it gripped the ribbon too tightly. His thumb stroked over his knuckles, steady and sure. "They have been talking for years anyway. I'm tired of letting them twist what's ours into something ugly. Something as mere speculations and rumors."

Taehyung blinked down at their joined hands. Jungkook's touch was warm, grounding. He leaned into it almost unconciously, his shoulders finally giving way and tension slipping like loosened knots.

Beside him, Areum stirred. Shifting against Taehyung's side. A small hand reached out, clumsily clutching at his shirt. Taehyung's expression melted immediately, the corners of his lips softening. His free hand smoothed down Areum's messy curls, coaxing her back into sleep before she woke up her sister.

"Papa," Areum mumbled sleepily, not even opening her eyes.

Jungkook's chest eased at the word. He reached over, gently tucking Areum closer to Taehyung's hold, then pulled the blanket over Aera as well so she wouldn't get cold. Yul shifted at the movement, but when Jungkook's arm curled tighter around him, he relaxed again. Nestling and burying himself to his father's side.

For a long moment, they just sat there. Surrounded by the soft breathing of their pups and the faint scent of flowers, the storm outside locked away behind the tinted glass.

Taehyung shifted carefully so he could rest his head on Jungkook's shoulder. "You know what matters most, is that you came. It might have taken a long time for you to claim me publicly, but it doesn't matter anymore. The important thing is, you did."

Jungkook exhaled slowly, titling his head so it rested against Taehyung's. Their fingers threaded tighter together, neither wanting to let go. There was no audience, no cameras. Just the quiet hum of the road beneath them, the soft breaths of their pups and the weight of a love that had finally been spoken into the open.

"Home." Taehyung murmured after a while, his eyes fluttering shut. "Let's just go home."

And Jungkook, pressing the lightest kiss into his hair, answered in a voice meant only for him. "Yes, let's go home."

By the time the car pulled into the private driveway, all three pups were deeply asleep. Tired from the chaos of the fashion show. Their little heads lolled against their shoulders.

Jungkook slipped out first, carefully lifting Yul against his right arm, then going to the other side and scooping Aera into his left. The eldest stirred faintly but settled as fast into Jungkook's hold. Aera's tiny hand clutched at her father's jacket even in sleep, refusing to let go.

Taehyung followed closely behind, carrying Areum against his chest. The youngest was curled so small, her cheek pressed to Taehyung's soft and velvety cardigan. A little sigh escaped her lips as she nuzzled closer.

The house was quiet when they stepped inside, dim lights casting a soft glow against familiar walls.

"Let's get them upstairs, into their beds." Jungkook murmured, his voice low so as not to disturb the peace.

Together they moved through the house, an unspoken rhythm born from countless nights like this one.

Taehyung set Areum down first, lowering her gently into her bed. She stirred and a sleepy pout tugged at her lips.

"Papa, don't leave me."

"I'm right here, Areumie." Taehyung whispered, smoothing a stray curl from her forehead before tucking her back snugly under her favorite purple blanket.

Jungkook then came in with Yul and Aera. He carefully set Aera down on her own bed, on the other side of the room. Her lashes fluttered when she got tucked in. Jungkook leaned down and kissed her temple. "Sweet dreams, princess."

Taehyung and Jungkook lingered for a bit in the girls’ bedroom. They watched the rise and fall of their princesses' breaths before going to Yul's bedroom.

As Jungkook was setting their eldest down in his bed, his eyes blinked open for a moment, drowsy and confused.

"Appa? Papa?" he asked in a rasp.

"I've got you, Yullie. Go back to sleep. Appa and Papa are here to kiss you goodnight." Jungkook murmured as his hand rubbed slow circles on his back until the boy sighed and melted into the mattress again. Both of them kissed the eldest goodnight and headed for their own room.

Taehyung's hand brushed Jungkook's as they both reached for the door. He paused, glancing at him with a soft smile.

"The pups look more like you every day, by the way." he whispered, gaze flitting back to Yul.

Jungkook's lip twitched  into something between pride and embarrasment. "Trouble then." he said in all seriousness.

Taehyung chuckled, the sound almost waking up their eldest. "Double trouble, in Yul's case." He shook his head and smiled as they slipped out into the hallway and quietly shut the door.

Inside their bedroom, the silence stretched again. Comfortable and warm. Taehyung went to their closet to change out of his clothes and into his pajamas, Jungkook following suit.

"You really shook the world tonight." Taehyung said when he saw his husband shrugging his suit jacket off. His voice gentle, but still feels the weight of what had been done. "You didn't have to make such a spectacle."

Jungkook went closer to him and caged him in his arms. "I wanted to." Jungkook said quietly, voice warm and with a hint of possessiveness he added, "They needed to know you are not someone else's to claim. You never were." He exhaled, "Back then, when we married. The company wasn't what it was now. I was still the youngest CEO in the industry, still fighting for every ounce of credibility. That's why I was very private with my life and my choices. I didn't want them to use it against me." He paused, the old exhaustion creeping into his voice. "The board didn't believe a model was suitable enough for their image of me. For the company's image."

Taehyung's shoulders stiffened but he understood. He always did. But it didn't mean he didn't get tired.

"They told me it would affect our stocks. That investors would question my judgement and the press would twist it into a weakness." Jungkook's jaw tightened. "They called you a distraction. They said you weren't permanent enough. That models come and go."

Taehyung finally looked at him straight, his gaze sharp with a quiet hurt. "And you listened."

Jungkook flinched, but didn't look away. "I thought I was protecting you. Protecting us. I told myself keeping us private was a compromise. But in truth, I let their voices drown out my own. And then we had the pups, I convinced myself that privacy will be our shield. So they can't come for us anymore."

Jungkook leaned forward, his voice rougher now. "It was never because I was ashamed of us, of you. Never, Tae. You are the best decision I ever made and you and the pups are the best things in my life. But I convinced myself that protecting us was better than letting the board or the media destroy what we have."

Taehyung's throat worked, emotion flickering in his eyes. "I always understood. And for a time, I didn't mind it. I didn't want to share our life with the world anyway. But it gets to a point that it becomes ridiculous. Every rumor that gets spinned and other people making claims when they shouldn't be."

The words cracked something deep inside Jungkook. He closed his eyes briefly, then lifted Taehyung's hand to his lips. Pressing a kiss against his lips like a vow.

"I know," he murmured. "And I swear to you, never again. The world knows now, you belong to me. And me to you."

They slid under the covers of their bed. Jungkook immediately pulling Taehyung close until his head rested against his chest. The beating of his heartbeat was steady, a quiet reassurance under Taehyung's ear.

"You know how I told you I've always understood," Taehyung whispered, "I really do. But sometimes, I hated it. Being hidden. I told myself it didn't really matter. But it did. Every time I saw you in articles, and I wasn't allowed to exist in your world. It hurt."

Jungkook's arms tightened, guilt thrumming through his chest. But he didn't interrupt. He pressed a kiss into Taehyung's hair instead, waiting.

"But," Taehyung continued softly, "tonight... when you claimed me in front of all of them, even knowing what it would cost, I finally felt complete and seen. Not just in my world, but in your world you kept me away from."

The room fell quiet again, Jungkook kissed Taehyung's hair once more, lingering this time. "Sleep, love. And tomorrow we'll show the world what we had built."

🌟🌟🌟

Sunlight spilled through the curtains, warm and golden. The house was still for only a heartbeat before the peace was shattered.

"Appa! Papa!"

Tiny feet thundered down the hallway. The bedroom door burst open, and three small bodies tumbled inside like a tsunami.

Yul launched himself onto the bed first, bouncing squarely against Jungkook's stomach with a mischievous giggle. "Wake up, Appa!"

Aera scrambled up next, immediately burrowing into Taehyung's side, her curls sticking up in every possible direction. "Papa, you're warm." she mumbled.

Areum stood at the foor of the bed with both hands tugging insistently at the blanket. "Appa! Up! Up!" she demanded.

Jungkook groaned dramatically, throwing an arm over his eyes. "It's too early pups."

"It's breakfast time Appa!" Yul declared proudly, bouncing harder on his Appa's stomach.

Taehyung laughed, still half-asleep, pulling Aera close and tugging Areum up. He cuddled the twins closer and kissed their messy curls. "Breakfast time already? Did you even check the clock?"

"It says seven!" Yul announced triumphantly, chest puffed like he'd conquered the world.

Jungkook cracked one eye open and muttered. "Brats." But the corners of his mouth betrayed him, twitching into a smile. He then launched an all out tickling session with those adorable little brats.

After the hearty laughter, a few bruises from the kicks of the pups, they went to the kitchen. Saying it became utter chaos was an understatement.

Cereal boxes were stacked haphazardly on the counter, milk teetered dangerously close to spilling, and Areum had somehow decided that dragging all the spoons onto the floor was a vital part of breakfast.

"Areumie, spoons don't belong under the fridge. Oh, Aera-yah careful with the bowl!" Taehyung sighed, still in his sleep shirt, trying his hardest to keep order as he gently rescued utensils from tiny hands.

Yul was perched on a chair, legs swinging as he poured cereal into his bowl like the big boy that he is but silently judging his parents and sisters on their chaos.

"Tell me why we agreed to let them use regular utensils and bowls and not be like normal parents who buy their pups, kid proof kitchenware??" Jungkook sighed while cooking pancakes.

Aera made her way to Jungkook, still clutching her bowl and standing on her tippy toes as she tried to peek at the stove with her wide eyes.

"Appa, can mine have chocolate chips?" she asked sweetly, tugging at Jungkook's shirt.

"Of course, my princess Aera." he said immediately and slipping a few chocolate chips into the batter like a good little knight.

"Yul too?" Yul called out hopefully.

"And me!" Areum added from the floor, still clutching a spoon like a weapon.

"Everyone gets chocolate chips," Jungkook declared, nodding solemnly as though this was a law.

Taehyung leaned against the counter, thirsting, I mean watching his husband for a moment. His husband with his hair mussed and tattoos peeking from the sleeves of his loose shirt. The sight was almost surreal. This man, the one the world called ruthless and untouchable, bent patiently at the stove while their pups danced around him in joyful chaos.

"You're so good at this." Taehyung said softly when Jungkook turned to grab a plate.

Jungkook raised a brow, "At flipping pancakes?"

"At being a father." Taehyung corrected, voice full of warmth and love.

Jungkook stilled, caught off guard. He looked at Taehyung for a long moment. Something unreadable flickering in his eyes. Then slowly, he set the plate down and crossed the table between them. Slipping an arm around Taehyung's waist and stealing a quick kiss.

"Not without you." he whispered in his ear.

Before Taehyung could answer, Yul shouted from the table, "Appa! Kiss Papa again!"

Aera and Areum immediately dissolved into loud giggles, chanting. "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" like it was the funniest thing in the world.

Taehyung buried his face in Jungkook's chest, laughing helplessly. "Oh whatever would I do without our chaos for breakfast."

Jungkook chuckled, pressing another kiss to his hair anyway. "Let them be. This is what I love the most about our little family."

And as Yul tugged at Jungkook's arm, Aera demanded her pancake first, and Areum proudly held up her spoon like a trophy. Taehyung thought that their messy mornings like this were worth more than any headline or rumor in the world.
