Work Text:

Glass, ever so fragile.
Was it its fault to be born fragile?
Was it its fault to be easily broken apart by a startle from a small bump?

Glass is not naturally created,
Human were the one who created them,
Artificially,
But there are those who are similar to glass,
Crystal shards,
Some born sturdy, while others born thin,
They are easily shattered,
Like how fire melts water,
All that's left is a puddle,
Not the crumbles,
The crumbles of what's left of the crystal shards.

Glass, ever so fragile,
you can never change your form,
This glass has a crack so subtle,
Easily overlooked,
Easily left unspoken,
But the crack was once a hole,
A hole created by another one's shattered shard,
It struck and fell,
Leaving a tiny hole as water poured,
Soon the hole closed itself,
The glass remained sturdy,
It was supposed to be mended by others,
Yet it mended itself from brute force,
Acceptance is a facade you trick yourself to believe in,
The hole remains leaking,
Drop by drop,
The glass never faltered,
It stayed strong, it held on.

Glass can be mended once broken,
Formed with others met with similar fates,
There a bond forms as a new glass forms,
A glorious beauty.

Glass are still cherished for its cracks,
It's the mark of courage.

Glass who mends itself,
Strong individuals,
They won the battle,
Defying gravity.

Glass who wish to be seen,
Cracks that can't be compared to shattered shards,
Yet just as valuable,
Is it wrong for the glass to be born fragile.
